Walter Mitty Hunt
Our cousins abroad at the Walter Mitty Hunt Community are on the prowl again and they’re asking for help to put a name to this dude who claims to be a doctor, an awardee of the Military Cross (equal to our Silver Star Medal) and carries a commando dagger (signifying that he graduated from the Royal Marines’ All Arms Commando Course) and calls himself Chris Bradford;
So, we have an officer in incorrect uniform, claiming to be a doctor without being on the General Medical Council’s register, who has been highly decorated without any mention in the official records, who has passed the All Arms Commando Course without anyone having any recollection of him and whom no-one in the small Army Medical Services community recognises.

Well now, as a former Medical Corps officer I can put in my two cents worth. I can’t speak to the veracity of this man’s claims. I certainly can’t speak to the correctness of his wearing of British military attire. But I can tell you that most of us physicians were pretty clueless about how to wear the uniform. Many a real doctor who wore the uniform, wore it badly. Not out of disrespect, just out of ignorance. Most of us never meant any disrespect for those who came under fire- I for one hold combat veterans in the highest regard.

That may be true (Drs not wearing uniforms correctly), but having gone through school, internship, residency, etc, that Dr leaves a trail as wide as an elephant. If this person is a real Dr, then his name should be on a central registry. No name o a registry, then he’s a phony.
@#6- he’s not on the central registry. He had to change his name when all of his ‘exploits’ became public knowledge. He’s now in the Witless Protection Program

Can confirm that he was NEVER a major. He originally joined as a jnr leader. Eventually served time as a field medic. Booted out as a waste of space. Beat his ex wife to a pulp, often claims to be homeless.
