Support SGM Patricia Frost victimized by culture

| July 11, 2012

HM2 FMF-SW Ret sends us the story of retired Sergeant Major Patricia Frost who left the Army after 24 years to teach in a poor school in Anson County, North Carolina and became a victim of the culture. Her lawyer writes the story;

Last month, Pat was assaulted by an 18 year old student after she told him to pull his pants up. Pat defended herself and the School District has since suspended Pat indefinitely and has refused to provide her any documents about the incident or the surveillance video.

Of course, they’re asking for your support to defend her at her Facebook page and to sign her petition.

We would like to show the superintendent as well as the school board of Anson County that Pat has the support of many and that her right to self defense should not be infringed upon.

This is a time sensitive issue because we would like to spread the word before the board determines her reinstatement decision.

So fire away, with our multitudes of veterans and spread the word among your friends and colleagues. Make all of those jerks pull up their damn drawers, for Pete’s sake.

I have a lot of teachers in my family. I could never do it. Not here in the United States, anyway.

Now you know why I don’t teach anymore…..

Sounds like this kid went after the wrong teacher and got embarassed…

Petition signed…gladly.

When I was the Nuke recruiter, I ran into more disrespectful little shits than anyone could imagine, and that was 15 years ago. Don’t even want to imagine it now.

Thanks for posting this Jonn. I did a google search on the incident. I typically don’t go after the media, but in this case, the story just sucked. THey gave most of the face time to the “victim” whose story makes no sense. He says that he pulled his pants up and gave her his name and them she followed him around like a lost puppy. Finally they had “heated words” and she slapped him. I am sure Ms. Frost had better thngs to do that morning that dress code enforcement.

I have a poster on my FB wall that says “Of course we’re bullies and disrespectful brats. What did you think would happen when you took away our parents right to beat our asses?” Somehow I think that could apply to this situation….

@2. You hit it right on the head. Should it not be assault charges if an 18 yo male attacks a woman? Especially considering the “poor” school district?

I think the superintendent needs to go.

HM2 FMF-SW Ret

@7 they pressed charges on each other. He was in her face with his hands up when she slapped him and he returned the favor. Still, sounds like self defense to me. None of it would have happened had he simply given her his name the first time.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

God bless her for caring enough to step in and offer to help where her talents could be useful….

This situation is exactly why I never considered this a viable option…some little turd with zero self respect and zero discipline would get his 4ss pounded and I would be prosecuted….

In a country that is rapidly losing ground to 3rd world nations a little discipline in schools would be a positive step. Perhaps if our culture were more concerned with actually educating our youth instead of building the self esteem of these little turds we would make some progress…

Petition Signed. Good Luck SGM, it took all I could muster from slapping the shi& out of the little bastards when I was on the trail. Cant imagine dealing with whiny, spoiled, undisciplined miniture civilians. Just another sign American culture is in severe decline. School uniforms should be mandatory across the board.

Das Einsamkeit

The fact that this story does not surprise me just reenforces my belief that our culture is going down the drain. When I was in the Navy life made sense for the most part. Since I got hurt and had to get out being a civilian again I have felt like a stranger in a strange land.
My time in college was the worst though. The “rap” culture has become infested in my former college. There were “students” who were allowed to wear jeans with a waist double their appropriate size, hanging down to the knees with underwear showing. This was a supposed place of higher learning sadly. I remember once having to work in a group with a couple of these worthless thug idiots & I read their paper noticing that it was filled with slang and almost every word with more than 5 letters in it spelled wrong. I really feel for this SGM, because I could hardly stand being around the gangsta thug morons that she has to teach.

And they wonder why people don’t want to go into teaching. Dealing with overly entitled brats every day for barely enough to live on? Screw that, I’ll stick with going into medicine.

This story reminds me of the movie Dangerous Minds starring Michelle Pfieffer. Based on a true story, Pfieffer played the role of retired Marine LouAnne Johnson who applied for a teaching position at high school near Palo Alto, California. Most of her students were poor African American and Hispanic kids. Ms. Johnson had VERY steep challenge to gain the attention and respect of the students (very low to no respect for authority). She tried alot of out of the box tactics while being tormented by the students and attracting disapproval of school administrators.

I didn’t really care for the movie, but the monumental obstacle of what LouAnne Johnson had to overcome to successfully teach these thuggish kids was amazing. Maybe tougher than anything she experienced in 24 years in Marine Corps.
