Horse Soldiers
There is a very interesting and informative video up over at Daily Caller, “Horse Soldiers,” that is quite appropriate viewing for this Independence Day. The video is about a small U.S. special operations team that went into Afghanistan immediately following the 9/11 attack to strike at the Taliban and Al Qaeda forces in their homeland. It’s a short video that should be expanded into a full-blown, Hollywood production but of course there’s little chance of that because Americans are the good guys. There’s even a female in a major role, the avenging “Angel of Death.”
Go watch it…it’s well worth your time.

Intriguing. I just purchased the Horse Soldiers book a couple of weeks ago.
The book “Horse Soldiers” was incredible. I purchased it at the airport last year before a trip.
Reading that, and then seeing how things have become these days with green on blue’s and whatnot, is a bit sad to be honest.
“. . . should be expanded into a full-blown, Hollywood production but of course there’s little chance of that because Americans are the good guys.”
Perhaps I’ll see the day when movies restore the elements of “She Wore A Yellow Ribbon” (Hollywood Movie, John Wayne).
I’ve no idea why my comment posted as “book”, but #1 was I.
The book is 3rd in my queue on my nightstand, so I’m happy to hear a positive review.
@Dr_Brett…You brought back a memory. Back in 1959 when I was in jump school at Fort Campbell, we used to sing a version of the theme song from that movie, in Jodie cadence, while we were running.
“Upon her breast she wore his silver jump wings,
She wore them for her Airborne trooper far far away.”
“And when they asked her why the hell she wore them,
She’d tell them for her Airborne trooper far, far away.”
Good memories…
No. 5: Thank you, POETROOPER !!
I’ve been fairly ill the last week or so and haven’t been on the Internet much to see what’s going on around here. Thank you for posting this! I never would of seen the story or the video if you hadn’t of linked it here.
