As per her second half part, I got that medical file, it is absolutely useless, and “ear infection” is not why he got tossed from theater. I have the document, it doesn’t show what they purport.

What I find interesting is that “Oh, that photo was on his hard drive. He grabbed it by accident.”
My question is twofold:
1 – Why did he have a photo of another Soldier – a Soldier he didn’t even know – on his hard drive?
2 – Where did the caption go?
The original photo was a DoD shot with the following caption, “U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Norman Bone directs movement as his patrol turns around on a narrow path in the mountains of Parwan province in Afghanistan on Oct. 25, 2006.”
Did the caption accidentally get edited out when Timmah accidentally grabbed the shot of a stranger off his hard drive and accidentally send it to AGT?
wow, its like idiots flock to other idiots. How can she possibly explain away all the facts being presented while not even questioning paperwork that could easily have been forged.
She said that there were thousands of pictures, and one was selected incorrectly because the thumbnail was too small to see:

I left the Navy in 1984… almost 30 years ago. I can’t imagine looking at a picture from that time period and NOT realizing it wasn’t me.

Sitting here listening to the interview with my wife (Mrs. Way Above-Average Spouse of an AverageNCO) When he asked her point blank if she believed him, she answered “Yes.” But my wife who has the advanced degrees in PsychoSocialWork Stuff said the tone of her voice was filled with doubt. I.E. she said YES, but sub-conciously said NO.
The fiance’ said she never met him until after he began his charade. So on some level I feel sorry for her, and she is another example of a victim of Stolen Valor.
But I don’t like how she tried to blame the photo “mistake” on her teenage daughter and her father who “isn’t computer illiterate”….whatever that means.
Hmmm. Photo on hard drive, but according to the emails sent to AGT, he deleted photos of that time because of reminders…I guess he had to save one and photo shop it for poser-sterity? Mwahaha. It can’t possibly get any worse.
I think Carrie sounds like a nice girl, and I feel she is seriously wondering about his story. Pags seemed like an okay guy when I listened to him while in San Antonio, He’s not gonna be happy when he learns the truth.. Like others I sent him an e-mail with details and that he might want to check this site out.

This idiot Poe, like so many other posers are also great manipulators and bull shit artist… Sure his bull shit is easy to spot for folks who have served, especially when so many form his own Unit have already and quite clearly stated he was not involved in anything liek what he claims.
She sounds like someone who has a lot to lose at the moment. She bought into his lies, was sold on the person she thought he was, and now has to paddle on down the River DeNial.. that is not easy to come to accept the truth, when what you thought was real is nothing but a complete fabrication.
I almost do feel sorry for her, but I always wonder about where her being sucked into a lie, and her becoming an active participant in fabricating and perpetuating the lie begins. She keeps on defending him much longer and I will say that line is crossed

@23: You said it. We have seen this happen here before (Gunny Lauve) and the worst part is when it is proven and the person who gives the most passionate of defenses finally realizes they were had. It’s not something to celebrate and in fact, they are a victim of the lies just as much as anyone else. No; Stolen Valor is not a “victimless crime” as some would state (9th Circus). A lot of victims are left in the aftermath of the truth being found out.

And not only would I recognize a picture of someone that WASN’T me, I left my first boat over 20 years ago and STILL can ID most (like 90 percent) of the people in crew pics. In my division, I remember the name of all but maybe one guy I served with, no matter how long they were there.
So for this guy to say he served in a company roughly the size of an SSN crew but doesn’t remember any of the people from the time he served there, is total and utter horseshit.
The phone number posted #5 is for his radio show ( on 5 to 8 central). Also there are several comments on the show’s official page under this story atribbing TSO and TAH with discovering the story. Now I can’t tell someone how a radio program but if I got the level of comments/e-mail (even limiting to just the folks who have posted on here who have sent one) I’m going to at least send an intern to check out the site. Which I can’t see how when the intern takes a quick peek doesn’t run back to the producer and say you need to see this.

The legitimate photo is at http://www.defense.gov/photos/newsphoto.aspx?newsphotoid=8541
Go there, and right-click on the image. Select the “Display Image” option on the pop-up. That brings up a screen showing a relatively low-res thumbnail (400×265 pixels). Then right click again and select “save this image”.
Voila – you have a lower-res image w/o caption. But unless Poe was savvy enough to edit it out, it should still contain some embedded metadata within the JPEG image itself.
I used Firefox when I tested this, but I’m reasonably sure the process (or a similar one) will work with IE or most other browsers.
Moot point now, since Poe’s been busted re: the image and now no longer claims it’s him in the photo.
Dialed in on the show – do they do anything other than commercials??
And Hondo – you would think that any national show would check for attribution on ANY pic they use. They, of all people, would understand the legal and financial implications of using pics incorrectly.
OWB: agreed, but I can give them a partial pass here.
First, Poe gave AGT that picture and – very cunningly – led them to believe the photo was him without explicitly saying so. And second, unless they had someone on their staff who knows a lot about the tech details of digital photography, they likely wouldn’t know enough to check the internal metadata in the photo itself. I’d have to learn how myself – I know it exists, but not precisely how to access it. And it can be edited or erased.
Hondo – I picture a techie in a closet somewhere who does all the editing who WOULD know (or has been directed by their legal staff) to check each and every pic that comes in from other than their own photogs, and probably to double check even them.

Listened to the audio, interesting change in her story, starting she was being more honest, ie saying internet then changing to HD, the comment of more than 1, then correcting to 1, then more afterwards, also more picture sent to media, I am sure that they are checking every picture this time!

Okay if you look at these medical record #2 at the top right the date 28 Feb 06 ….then look at the bottom left DOB (date of birth) 14 Jul 1976 age 33 ….. okay now then, 2006 was 6 years ago and he was 33 years old by this document. And on the AGT show he says he is 35 years old????? What another lie, or he fake these records!!!! DD214 and medical records have been forged before!!! If his birthdate is July 14, 1976 he would be 35 years old today on July 14, 2012 he will turn 36 years old. Okay in 2006, 6 years ago he would be 30 years old!!! This document says he is 33 years old!!
