Kokesh; every vote not for Ron Paul is an FU to troops

| April 25, 2012

Tommy sends us a video in which Iraq Veterans Against the War’s Adam Kokesh is still clinging to that utter bullsh*t about Ron Paul having more money donated from the military than any other candidate.

“So when you see a campaign sign for Mitt Romney, Barack Obama or Newt Gingrich, what they’re really saying is ‘F*ck You, troops!'”

For some reason the paulians still think that Ron Paul has a chance. They’re sending me propaganda about how they’re going to force the GOP to put Paul on the ballot either as president or vice president by being spoiled little children instead of abiding by the policy. While I’m not real happy that Romney is the candidate, the only other choice has sucked ass towards veterans in the last year or so…so we can’t do much worse.

And Kokesh’s only argument for Paul, in regards to the military, is that Paul will never send the troops to war. He can’t even think of a good reason for sending the troops to World War Two, so, I’m guessing that al Qaeda will love a Ron Paul presidency – as much, if not more than they love the current administration.

I’m sorry, but you were at the vets For Ron Paul Rally, just like I was, and you know the numbers of participants was anemic, at best. The amount of money that the Ron Paul campaign got from people who *said* they were in the military doesn’t matter if it doesn’t translate into votes at the ballot box. Remember even our own Soup Sandwich supports Paul.

Frankly Opinionated

Does anyone even give a ratzass what this slimer thinks or says?

Tony

Has anyone confronted Adam Kokesh about his utter hypocrisy in selling out to a foreign government by way of RT and their production of “Adam v.s. The Man”? I’d be very interested to see how he might react. And Frankly Opinionated is right: This cat is an utter non-factor, a useful idiot who dares to try to bestow such a label upon others. He should be ignored.

NHSparky

Holla, bitches!

Ben

I assume Kokesh won’t be voting for Ron Paul then, since he’s already stated that he doesn’t support the troops.

A person who doesn’t support the troops, as he doesn’t, would logically vote for the candidate who would be a middle finger to the troops.

Hondo

Ben: did you just use the term “logically” while referring to Kokesh?

DaveO

No, they don’t believe Paul has a chance. Paul’s lack of chance, when taken in combination with a very real GOP Establishment machine, is the Paulistinians excuse to begin behaving very, very badly – just like 2008.

FlyingCowOfDoom

Kokesh has 1 valid point, Ron Paul is the only candidate who actually cares about the troops. Not because of his crazy policies or his years of service doing gynecology work, but just because he seems to be the only politician that is at least a little in tune with America. Every other politician today can’t wait to bend over backwards to suck wads of money and perks out of corporations and lobbying groups collective junk.

I would say Ron Paul is one of the last true statesmen left, he may be nutty as squirrel shit but he means good. Meanwhile everyone else in the game is a shill and all of our choices on both sides of the aisle suck.

FlyingCowOfDoom

P.S. I don’t think he will get elected nor will I vote for him

Cedo Alteram

#1 I’m with you. I can’t stand Kokesh and would never under any circumstances vote for Paul.

Doc Bailey

#8 Bullshit. Sorry just had to raiser that flag.

you know I’m not really down with Veterans offing themselves but in Kokesh’s case I might make an exception.

Hondo

FlyingCowOfDoom: I’m sure Rev. Jim Jones meant well, too.

Putting someone who’s full-blown batshit crazy in power almost never ends well – for them, or for their country.

Ben

Kokesh reminds me of the rapper Soulja Boy.

“And fuck all the Army troops/Bitch, be your own man/I’ll be flying through the clouds/With green like I’m Peter Pan.”

He late explained that he wrote those lyrics because he cares deeply about the troops and he was getting frustrated that they weren’t coming home fast enough.

Kokesh: Of course I don’t support the troops. I’m also a huge fan Ron Paul because, after all, he’s the only candidate who REALLY supports the troops! You aren’t planning on voting for him? Well, I guess you’re just giving the troops a big middle finger.

The Ron Paul Zepplin is filled with crazy people.

Hondo

“Ron Paul Zepplin?” Boy, I bet that band sounds like crap.

‘Course, he was a OB/GYN, so maybe “Whole Lotta Love” would be apropos . . . . (smile)

Hondo

Addendum: as well as “Dazed and Confused”. (smile)

NHSparky

And don’t forget, “Ramble On.”

Nick

Ron Paul WAS getting way more money from the troops. Now that the establishment and the media has declared Romney the nominee, Ron Paul donations have slipped. That’s why they made such a big deal about Paul not winning the popular votes when they knew the caucus’s are what decide the delegates in many states, and Paul said the whole time he’d do much better in those. Now he’s won Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Washington, and Colorado. And potentially will win Alaska, Maine, Wyoming, North Dakota, and Nevada. Yet people think Paul dropped out…

Every other candidate supports perpetual war – for the profit of bankers, the military industrial complex, and oil companies – to the detriment of the U.S. and our soldier.

Cedo Alteram

God Damn Nick your stupid!

1) Jonn has covered this myth, from one individual in California massively inflating Paul’s military fund saying they are military or veterans when contributing but are likely not.

2)There have been articles galore about even Ron Paul himself being stunned at his tsumani never manifesting in the States he believes they should. His campaign(and part of the media) mistake online traffic or enthusium for votes. Guess what the two are in no way parallel. Paul has a small but dedicated base but not much support beyond.

There is no conspiracy numbnuts.

Hondo

Uh, Nick . . . . the enemy appears to be willing to wage perpetual war against us. Are you suggesting that we should simply give up and surrender vice defending ourselves?

IMO, Ron Paul is little more than an newer version of Pat Buchannan circa 1996. Except 1996 Pat Buchannan showed more smarts and better writing ability.

NHSparky

Uh, Nick? Paul hasn’t won a single primary or caucus. His best performance has been in states with open primaries or modified open primaries–you know, the ones where people of EITHER party can vote.

Put him in a closed primary and he barely polls above the asterisk level–kinda like how his butt-buddy Kookcinich does in Dem primaries.

Ask yourself this question–who won second place in the NH DEMOCRATIC primary? Should tell you everything you need to know right there.

Just Plain Jason

Since we are making pronouncements without validity…

Any dollar not mailed to Just Plain Jason is a Fuck You to the troops! I can say it and it doesn’t make it true. See I am a Veteran…a disabled on at that and if you don’t send me a dollar it means that YOU don’t care about disabled veterans! See how that works. I am holding you all emotionally hostage because if you don’t send me a dollar you don’t care about disabled veterans…ha! Simply send me a dollar to show me how much you care.

*All above comments were made in a not serious manner and anyone considering that I meant them in any such way can either send me a dollar, which I will gladly accept to assuage any guilt you may feel as to not supporting disabled vets, or you can kick yourself in the balls for taking the comment seriously.

OWB

Was thinking pretty much the same thing about the time you wrote that, Jason. Since I can offer no improvement, will simply second it – yeah, what Jason wrote.

Except that I am not disabled. Other than having a functioning brain. Feel free to send your conscious $$ to WWP.

The biggest reason Ron Paul will never win is because of his most hardcore batshit supporters like Kokesh. One thing Paul does good is geta some people to talk about the war on drugs, wars in the Middle East, etc etc. All the other candidates what to argue over is stay at home Moms, gay marriage, and other crap that at the end of the day doesn’t amount to shit but useless yapping.
