The Nuge Said What?

I do hope Jonn will forgive…

A look ahead it seems?
Ted Nugent Under Fire for Obama Threat

Ted Nugent has the Secret Service keeping an eye on him, according to New York’s Vulture blog. Nugent landed on their radar over the weekend, when the musician attended the National Rifle Association’s convention in St. Louis Missouri and said of Democrats, “We need to ride into the battlefield and chop their heads off in November.”

A Secret Service spokesman told  Vulture, “We are aware of it, and we’ll conduct an appropriate follow up.”

Those folks who like to party now have an entertaining agenda?

So are they taking notes from Michael Yon or what. Idiots!

Hondo

Zero, that sounds to me suspiciously like Bureaucrat-ese for “We know it’s hyperbole, but we’ll go through the motions anyway.”

At least I hope so – anyone who’s got 3 or more working brain cells knows that Ted Nugent comes off in public nearly as outrageous as Hunter S. Thompson, but is actually a law-abiding conservative.

CI

Nuge is also a draft dodging douche….conservative or not.

Joshua

I’m gonna say, that the same holds for me if he tries to take our firearms via the UN Small Arms Treaty.

It’s the TRUE check and balance in this society.

PintoNag

“…and chop their heads off…”

Geez louise…open mouth, insert foot…

Frank

As I recall, nothing was said about Hoffa when he made his comment re: “take the sons of bitches out”.

Oh – sorry – I forgot – liberal garbage can say anything they wish with no consequences.

Yea, well? The USSS has much bigger problems to handle right about now rather than the Nuge and his off the wall antics. Didn’t know it was okay for on/off duty LEO’s that are responsible for the safety of POTUS to consort with marxist ho’s….

DaveO

No one is above the law, not even The Nuge.

Maxine Waters, take note.

AW1 Tim

Wasn’t it Obama who told his supporters to bring their guns?

Not, like, any of them would own any, or at least legally own any…….

NHSparky

Tim–he also told them to, “get in their faces…”

Jacobite

Love Uncle Ted!!!!

PowerPoint Ranger

I’ll start giving a shit when they do about the crotchfruit of Jimmy Hoffa

Context, People! Context!

“We defied the kings. We are patriots. We are “Braveheart.” We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off.”

He’s talking about not being complacent about the upcoming elections.

Former3c0

Well whatever they do and wherever they go I hope they bring enough condoms and cash to pay the hookers this time. 😉

Redacted1775

Well it’s not like he was heckling voters and brandishing weapons at voting booths heh heh he…..wait a minute…

SSG Messkit

Nuge did not dodge the draft. CI needs to quit reading Rolling Stone lies and get the real story.

Ted made up the story of shitting his pants at the recruiter, just to piss off the “reporter”. Ted’s number did not get called…that is all.

CI

So Ted lied to the Rutland Herald or did he lie to the Independent?

Hondo

Can’t seem to access either the Rutland Herald article without paying a fee, and I can’t find the Independent article at all. However, a reply to a FOIA regarding Nugent’s Selective Service Classification status is found here: http://www.newshounds.us/Nugent6.gif It would appear that he lied to whoever he told he’d gotten a “big 4-F” – at least about that part. He doesn’t appear to have ever been rated 4F by the SSS until the 1Y category was converted to 4F in Dec 1972 – and maybe not even then. That was the same month Nugent turned 24 and was no longer subject to being drafted. Looking at the above, it appears to me that Nugent was (1) deferred by law to finish HS (cat 1-S(H)) ; (2) was subject to the draft for about 2 1/2 mo (cat 1-A, Dec 67 – Feb 68); (3) got a student deferment for about 18 mo (cat 2-S, Feb 68 – Aug 69); (4) was subject to the draft for about 3 mo (cat 1-A, Aug 69 – Oct 69); and (5) was rated 1-Y (medically qualified but not subject to being called into service except during a period of declared war or national emergency (neither applied during Vietnam) from Oct 69 until he turned 24 and was no longer subject to the draft. Did he dodge the draft? Maybe, maybe not; I don’t know. He could have – and he was indeed a “long-haired hippie” at the time. But I wouldn’t base that belief solely on his interviews or public statements. Based on how outrageous some of Nugent’s conduct has been over the years, I wouldn’t put it past him to have lied to both of those papers (Rutland Herald and Independent) just for laughs. I also wouldn’t be surprised if he completely made up the famous story he told to High Times years ago about his “30 day junk food diet/crapped in my pants for days” stunt to get out of the draft. Nugent’s always been a showman, first and foremost – and any showman will tell you that there’s very little… Read more »

Minor correction: it seems the 1Y category was converted to 4F in Dec 71, not 72. So maybe Nugent was technically telling the truth about being 4F, even though that’s not what he was rated by the SSS.

MCPO NYC USN (Ret.)

I heard every last drop of the Nugistic Banter. He was eloquently speaking like an enraged Patriot would. And by the way … FREE SPEECH is GOOD. He is no more a threat to the President as he is a threat to a beautidul ten point buck grazing on golden oats and green leaves of grass in his back yard. Oh … wait a minute. He is NO THREAT to the President!
