TAH on BBC
Yes, every time something happens, the BBC comes to the guy who has opinions they can’t find anywhere else, so I’ll be on BBC again today between 1 – 3 pm Eastern discussing the shooting in Afghanistan. Of course, they wanted to frame the debate in terms of PTSD and protracted war and I wouldn’t let them get me in that trap. We don’t know who the guy is, so how do we know that his participation in the war had anything to do with it. I also pointed out that these things happen without anyone involved going to war, like Hassan in Fort Hood and the Norwegian nutjob recently. Remember, the initial reports out of Fort Hood were that Hassan had multiple tours in Iraq until we set them straight.
So, I’m sure I’ll have a raucous time. If you have a chance, tune in here.
You guys can prep me in the comments.

One of the most recent arguments on Facebook is wanting us to hand him over to the afghan government since the victims were afghastans.
Spork, if it were any other administration, I wouldn’t be worried. This one? It wouldn’t surprise me at all to see him handed over to either the Afghanistan government or the World Court.
I am having a debate on that subject now on FB.
I try to never pass judgement or jump to a conclusion until I have all the facts.
perhaps he is a moslem
On the phone now.
The washington post is already going through all the stereotypes… http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/blogpost/post/afghanistan-shooting-suspect-came-from-lewis-mcchord-most-troubled-base-in-the-military/2012/03/12/gIQApIdJ7R_blog.html?tid=sm_twitter_washingtonpost
OK, I’m off until the next hour when they’ll call me back. I really wanted to go after Said from Afghanistan, though. But Maria backed him into a corner with her question if only the men in Afghanistan think less of the Western intervention.
Thanks for the link, Arby. If you were listening, I brought it up.
Weather and a (expletive) satellite ISP means that I missed your dulcet voice.
I DO hope there is a replay… Something for my MP3 player maybe?
I missed it too, Zero, but I don’t know where the fault lies on this side. I don’t listen to two solid hours of the BBC for just anybody, though. I have no idea why I didn’t hear Jonn’s interview.
My favorite theory is all the DU threads that are saying it was because the troops listen to hateful rhetoric from Rush Limbaugh on AFN.
