Dog murderers convicted

| December 2, 2011

I’m sure y’all remember the story of SEAL Marcus Luttrell’s dog being murdered at his home in Texas a few years ago. Justice moves slowly, but they finally convicted the fuckers according to the Huntsville Item;

Hernandez was found guilty of a state jail felony by a Walker County jury of four men and eight women in the 278th District Court.

Two days earlier, Michael Edmonds pleaded guilty to the same charge and admitted he was the one who fired the shot that killed DASY, a Labrador retriever that was given to Luttrell by friends to help him cope with emotional and physical injuries he sustained while fighting in the war in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I hope Bubba doesn’t show them any mercy.

Thanks to John for the link.

“I hope Bubba doesn’t show them any mercy.”

Dry and deep

Anyone who’d shoot a dog for kicks deserves to be ass-raped with a pineapple.

I noticed that the defense attorney’s argument for the man that used a bat on DASY was “he was out hunting varmints.”

At 2 in the morning?
With a bat?

That’s not even close to believable.

Wow, i think i have some people here who would share my opinion on Michael Vick. Why that bastard is playing for the NFL is beyond me.

Politics used to stop at the waters edge, now it seems to stop at love for animals.

What you may not know unless you’re from the area: for the punk that plead guilty to pulling the trigger, *his* defense attorney is an ex-but-always-a-Marine friend of mine who tries hard to make sure the right thing is done.

I strongly suspect – although I have not talked to him about any of this – that he had his client read Luttrell’s book and had some heart-to-heart talks about doing the “right thing”. I do know that if he knows his client is guilty he will not try to get him off. He’ll either try to get them to plead, or he’ll resign as their attorney.

The guy who beat the dog with a bat? His attorney is not that kind. He made some pretty wild claims when the trigger man plead guilty.

Just FYI.

The man showed great restraint. I am afraid that if someone shot one of my Golden Retrievers in front of me, I would not hold back. I hope Karma catches up with them real soon!

“Anyone who’d shoot a dog for kicks”, or fight them for kicks “deserves to be ass-raped with a pineapple”. Just thought I’d add that, because Vick killed dogs that didn’t perform.

Old Trooper

@4: Yeah, I have zero tolerance for Vick, either, and feel that even though people deserve a second chance, he shouldn’t have had as much lavish praise heaped upon him when he got out of the jug. In my view, every time he’s introduced, it should start with “dog killer and NFL quarterback Michael Vick”. But that’s just me.

It is known that those who abuse animals are only a whisker away from doing the same to humans. These fuckers deserve no quarter, in my opinion, since I’m pretty sure this wasn’t the first animal to have suffered by their hand.

I thought Mr. Luttrell showed remarkable restraint. Shooting dogs for kicks … I can’t get my head around that, at all. And IMO, fighting dogs is just as bad. Vick should have been horse-whipped within an inch of his life.

That justice has been served, is good news, Jonn.

Could be that the trigger puller (was going to say “man” but realized it didn’t apply to this ass muncher) figured out that the safest place for him to be was in jail. Marcus showed great restraint…but I’m sure he has friends and admirers that would probably be less inclined to hold back.

I don’t even like cats, but I’d kick someone’s ass if he was abusing one in front of me. A DOG??? The pineapple would just be the first course.

Doc Bailey

I remember reading that when this happened Marcus jumped in his truck and gave pursuit (I think he was even shooting at them, but the details are a bit fuzzy). I know he was on the back roads, and going into triple digits, I’m sure he gave them one hell of a fright, and I’m quite sure if Marcus had caught them, they would have learned a whole new meaning of pain. YOU DON’T FUCK WITH A SEAL’S DOG!!!

In a way I’m glad Marcus didn’t catch them. Justifiable as it may have been in my eyes, the Law would disagree, and this country can ill afford to lose its few remaining heroes to stupid shit like this.

Mr. Luttrell has done the rest of us a service. These irresponsible fools need to be salted away for a long time in a place where they cannot do harm. He may have saved somebody’s life.

Dirty Al the Infidel

@Doc, Marcus did show great restraint, and yes he did chase them down, and held them at gun point until Authorities arrived on the scene. He did a televised interview on one of the news shows and told of the experience. Can’t remember the show’s name or chanel it was on.

Exactly! His dog was a lab, and like Goldies-labs are usually lovable idiots who just want to be loved. I have a Goldie, a boxer, and a boston “terror.” They rank almost with my children.

A person who can shoot a dog for thrills will have no qualms shooting other innocent things…The thing about thrill seekers is that they usually escalate.

In regards to #14 it was on the Glen Beck show I do believe.

The killing of man’s best friend is an epidemic in this country.

People know the effect it will have on the owner and that the penalties are tame… if any.
