Blah. Spare me the heavy guitars and the ‘tough guy’ chant.
From the Halls of Montezuma to the Shores of Tripoli says all that needs to be said, and it is ‘Old School Cool’.
Just my opinion of course. Call me stuck in the past. 🙂

My dad was a Marine in the late’20s, so I mentioned joining the Marines during the Korean Conflict. He said verbotem;” Boy, you mention Marines again and I’ll kick your ass all over this county!”
I took that as a very good incentive to join some other branch of the military!

Seems things have improved a bit since the ’60s. Though I imagine some things have stayed the same. It was in VN that I learned the meaning of SNAFU.
Anyway, “not as lean, not as mean but still a Marine”.

That was an awesome song and video! Hearing the raspy voice of the DI sent chills down my spine, just like my first day in boot!

Love the whole thing……of course will NEVER take the place of the Marine Corps Hymn. . . .But like all things, with sooooo much History (236 years next Thursday), we just add another page to the book of PRIDE. Semper Fi to all my Brothers & Sisters (& those that wish they were). Please take the time to say “THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE” to any veteran you know or meet…Happy Veteran’s Day !!!
