Ron Paul, our Gordon Duff in Congress
Ben, who says he loves to troll Ron Paul discussion boards sends us a link to Ron Paul.com where Doctor Paul himself does his best imitation of Gordon Duff for the acolytes. He can’t admit that bin Laden was actually responsible for the 9-11 attacks. Apparently, bin Laden only “applauded” the attacks on the US. But, some how, even though bin Laden only applauded the attacks, his death is “justice served”, in Paul’s words.
And then, like a quote from Gordon Duff, Paul warns;
Hopefully bin Laden does not get the last laugh. He claimed the 9/11 attacks were designed to get the US to spread its military dangerously and excessively throughout the Middle East, bankrupting us through excessive military spending as he did the Soviets, and to cause political dissention within the United States. Some 70 percent of Americans now believe we should leave Afghanistan yet both parties seem determined to stay. The best thing we could do right now is prove bin Laden a false prophet by coming home and ending this madness on a high note.
As naive as his basement-dwelling acolytes, Paul thinks that ending the war “on a high note” is sufficient enough for history and posterity. Certainly, the terrorists will be disheartened that we left Afghanistan “on a high note” and never be tempted to attack us again nor reestablish a terror base there.
Maybe I should read a book sometime so I can figure out the brilliance that is Doctor Ron Paul. It’s funny that Paul says we should leave because 70% of Americans say we should leave Afghanistan, yet when 99.9% of Republicans said he should get out of the 2008 presidential campaign, he didn’t withdraw from the race.
Category: Ron Paul, Terror War
I honestly don’t understand the appeal of this d’bag.
It is a college cult following him, Claymore….don’t how else to explain it.
I probably know as little about Ron Paul as anyone. But in just watching his body language, and appearance, (First Impressions are Lasting Impressions….), he comes off as being terribly wimpy, looks like a true wuss, and not at all like someone who could stomp his foot, (a move likely to be demanded of a POTUS). Just plain not presidential appearing as I see him. Along with that, some of his ideas are borderline crazeeeee.
I said it before, I’ll say it again:
“Ron Paul–Because Dennis Kucinich just isn’t batshit crazy enough.”
Ron Paul sought letters of marque to get OBL Constitutionally 10 years ago. http://tinyurl.com/42tdyf6 Obama is not king and needs Congressional authority. He had the tip months and months ago.
By the way, RonPaul.com is not Ron Paul’s website. That would be RonPaul.org or RonPaul2012.com
Letters of marque…arrrr…
It is a college cult following him, Claymore….don’t how else to explain it.
Rocky Horror Picture Show has a college cult following too, but I don’t see anyone asking Tim Curry to run for president.
This what happens when you elect a gynecologist. He spent his Air Force career examining female genetalia. It explains a lot of his world view of things.
JKR…Um, yea. Remember, The bumbling Pied Piper may not be king but we are already at war.
How much more approval did he need? I bet you’re one of the people who believes that the ICC has jurisdiction over US military operations, too and that UBL “deserved” what the US justice system had to offer him, as well…Oy. People like you always make me scratch my head.
Defend USA, following the Constitution is a GOOD thing. It requires Congressional authorization for good reasons. And Ron Paul wanted that authorization in place. My link above is to his letter of marque legislation he introduced more than once. That is the right way to do it. Obama doesn’t want to be tied down by the pesky Constitution.
Oh, horseshit, you mouth-breathing, booger-eating, sister-humping waste of oxygen. He’s a fuckin ri-tard, as are his followers (read: YOU.)
And here’s a bit for you to chew on:

“I don’t think it was necessary, no. It absolutely was not necessary,” Paul said during his Tuesday comments. “I think respect for the rule of law and world law and international law. What if he’d been in a hotel in London? We wanted to keep it secret, so would we have sent the airplane, you know the helicopters into London, because they were afraid the information would get out?”
Translation: He’s a fucking loon and he just shot down any credibility he ever had right there.
Sparky, you got to remember, Paul is firmly convinced that GWB,and the evil Dick Cheney caused 9-11. Therefore he knows the OBL was inocent. Iraq and A-Stan were just wars of American imperialism. So of course killing OBL was TOTALY unjustified.
I swear to God that Ron Paul & Lyndon Larouche have got to be related. Both of them share the same mis-wired psyche patterns that fool otherwise semi-intelligent people into believing their clap-trap.
Hoist the colors, me hardies! Cap’n Paul has issue us letters o’marque and I intend on layin’ waste to the Spanish Main…yar har har har…
The reason he says that bin Laden “applauded” the attacks of 9/11 is because he knows that his campaign is the home of a significant “truther” movement. If he were to say that bin Laden did it, he’d lose traction with the base.
So, apparently we spent the last ten years chasing a guy who just happened to feel giddy about the attacks. And putting a bullet in his head was justice served. It seems to me that a lot of people “applauded” the attacks of 9/11–little kids in the Gaza strip, as well as people in the Muslim enclaves of Europe. If applauding the attacks of 9/11 gets you a visit from a Seal team, we’d better get busy.
By the way, Ron Paul had some very different comments in another interview I saw with him just after the raid. He thought that bin Laden should have been taken alive and given a trial. Now try to square that with “It is good that bin Laden is dead and justice is served.”
Oh, and JKR? “Obama is not king and needs Congressional authority”
Congress already gave him that authority, on September 14, 2001. And Ron Paul voted for it. He voted for the blankest check ever given to any president, ever, to pursue terrorists across the globe.
And here’s Paul saying that the raid was “absolutely not neccesary”.
http://hotair.com/archives/2011/05/12/paul-killing-obl-absolutely-was-not-necessary/
Not NECESSARY? That’s interesting, Ron. Tell us why?
“I think things could have been done somewhat differently,” Paul said this week. “I would suggest the way they got Khalid [Sheikh] Mohammed. We went and cooperated with Pakistan. They arrested him, actually, and turned him over to us, and he’s been in prison. Why can’t we work with the government?”
I guess it never occurred to him that telling his protectors that we’re coming for him might not be a good idea. Give me, a break–Musharef was probably delivering his groceries and coming over for tea in the afternoons.
Yes, because if history has taught us anything, it’s that WE CAN TRUST THE PAKISTANIS.
In any case, OBL was just some guy who thought that the attacks of September 11th were pretty neat. Not really a bad guy.
And, over at FOXNews.com:
Ron Paul: SEALs Raid on Bin Laden ‘Not Necessary’
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/05/12/ron-paul-ordered-bin-laden-raid/
Presidential?
It wasn’t necessary because the Pakistanis would have gotten him for us! Why didn’t I think of that?! Duh!
I’m so glad we have such a deep thinker around to point out the obvious to us sometimes.
No offense to anyone who may have a family member with down syndrome, but…
RON PAUL = RETARD
Little wonder his district keeps re-electing him to Congress. Would you want this level of unmedicated crazy wandering your streets?
“Defend USA, following the Constitution is a GOOD thing. It requires Congressional authorization for good reasons. And Ron Paul wanted that authorization in place.”
Congressional authorization came from the AUMF. Therefore, the authorization was in place. Although Ron Paul evidently preferred to treat AQ as a piracy outfit as opposed to a hostile force waging war, the fact that he and his flock do not like or understand the AUMF doesn’t mean that the Paul people can simply ignore the majority of Congress who did provide such authorization.
I’m guessing JKR is J.K. Rowling, writer of fantasy stories for children that adults seem to have latched on to.
