Bomber caught?

| April 12, 2011

Last week, I reported a bomb attack on a Jewish temple in Santa Monica, then the media reported that it wasn’t a bomb, but a utility line in the temple which exploded. Now we find out that it was a bomb.

Hirsh boarded a New York-bound Greyhound bus after the attack, but was shown on surveillance video getting off the bus in Denver, police said.

Police accused Hirsch of hurling 300 pounds of pipe and concrete into the roof of a building adjacent to the Chabad House and less than a block from the Santa Monica Synagogue.

Investigators confirmed that a man known as J. Fisher, a known alias used by Hirsch, purchased the bus ticket. He was originally scheduled to arrive in New York on Sunday, investigators said.

I wonder if Shawn and Gus were the ones that caught him? Maybe Juliette and Lassiter?

I’m interested in seeing how the Feds prove that a homeless guy, a guy panhandling for cash and sometimes (often) sleeping in the alley beside the Jewish center found enough cash to make a bomb and buy a bus ticket to New York.

Folks who saw him claim he was polite, never a problem, and often was seen inside the Jewish Center helping out in order to return the assistance they gave him.

To my mind, someone isn’t telling the truth here, and maybe looking for a patsy to take the fall for this act of terrorism.

Well at least we know he’s not a vet, or it’d be in the headline.

What he used is described as a “mechanical launcher” that hurled about 300lbs of concrete and pipe onto (or through, the story gets a little vague) a roof. And did the thing blow up when it launched?? And the target was a structure about a block away from the temple?

This sounds a lot like a local character decided to play with “splodey”…and then ran like hell when it did!

If anyone has a link to this story that isn’t an insane mix of nonsense, I’d certainly like to see it.
