The miliary action has one purpose – humanitarian – save people from being slaughtered.The U.S. policy regarding Qhaddafii himself – he needs to go (but not by U.S. military involvement)
WHY DO PEOPLE NOT WANT TO UNDERSTAND THIS? Even Al Franken understands this. The policy is as clear as snow is white….what is the problem?
I think there are a certain segment of liberals who are against war no matter what the purpose is – even if it was the 1940s and jews were being put in ovens, this segment of people would be against military involvement by the USA.
The only thing I can say to such linguistic and intellectual Yoga would be: huh?

If Khaddafy needs to go, with the qualifier of ‘but not through military action,’ does this mean condoning certain operations like rendition and assassination? Or does the commenter believe Khaddafy’s owed retirement, with benefits?
Policy, to be actual policy, is behaviour toward types: types of government (if commie, undermine/if jihadist, destroy/et cetera), types of leaders/organizations, types of economies and the policies of other governments. Policies can be negative, or positive. But all are actions.
Mr. Obama has no clear-cut policy:
He was against taking out Saddam Hussein.
He was against the ouster of the President of Honduras.
He is against the government of Colombia.
He is pro-Chavez, Morales, and all the other so-called Bolivarians.
He is against anti-Iranian Government movements.
His is pro-Palestinian movements.
He has done and said nothing on the riots in Syria.
He is against Khaddafy… wait, WTF? Why did the POTUS go clearly against type here? Or did someone in the WH make the decision for him?
