Dearborne firecracker bomber is a Muslim?

| February 11, 2011

I’m sure you remember the firecracker bomber, Roger Stockham, who was arrested a few weeks back with a trunkload of noisy fireworks which he had planned on tossing in a crowded Mosque in Michigan. Well, according to Answering Muslims, Stockham fired his attorney because the attorney is a Shi’ite and a member of the mosque he had planned on “bombing” with colorful and noisy toys. Stockham is apparently Sunni.

…he’s a Sunni Muslim, and he wanted to toss some M-80s at the largest mosque in America, because he hates Shia Muslims. Stockham was given a court-appointed attorney (Mark Haidar), whom he rejected for supposedly being a Shia. Stockham speaks fluent Arabic and quotes the Qur’an during interviews.

Oops. All of those cranks who were so happy that they’d finally found a Christian violent bomber (ha! Bomber who bought explosives along side the road) must be so disappointed that the only Christian thing about him is his name. Talk about jumping to conclusions.

Someone sent me the link and I’m working on getting recombobulated, but lost the email. Sorry

Wow…hadn’t heard this and there will be some minor explosions of the left’s heads, won’t there…

see now I thought originally this was a prank or a bit of social commentary. Now that I know its not, I think it is funny yet again how the fact that a Muslim male planned to bomb someplace has somehow slipped notice. Is it too late to say that I’m getting mighty sick of how we are not focusing on the real issues in this war on terror. We are failing miserably to offer a counterpoint and offer a better vision then the one that is being offered by our enemies.

In your original posting of this story I commented the guy had converted to Islam back in the 70’s and was a Muslim. It was ironic at the time because the blog post was about how if the guy had been a Muslim the MSM would cover it up….which is exactly what was happening.

Michael in MI

Just a nitpick…

The correct spelling of Dearborn, Michigan is not “Dearborne”, but “Dearbornistan”.

Carry on.
