WLF supports veterans pending deportation

| May 19, 2010

The Warrior Legacy Foundation is lending their support to two brothers who are facing deportation despite the fact that they are veterans, one served in Vietnam. From KRDO.com;

Manuel and Valente Valenzuela, brothers and Vietnam Veterans, They continue to fight against impending deportation, but now they have the support of a national organization.

“What we’ve done for America, we are proud of it, and it isn’t going to hurt to stand up,” said Manuel

The men were born in Mexico to an American mother, and may be deported for minor crimes committed years ago. Manuel is a Marine and Valente a Soldier. After NEWSCHANNEL13’s interview the pair in, many called their claims fake.

The Warrior Legacy Foundation decided to work with the Valenzuelas to determine the authenticity of their story. The foundation is tasked with preserving the history of people who individuals that truly served.

“Everything we were able to pull matched what they had,” said John Wagner of the Warrior Legacy Foundation.

Manuel said the support has renewed his belief in the America he defended.

”These people stepped in to help me, and it’s been building me back up to say ‘thank God I served the country.’”

I know TAH has a reputation for tearing into phony soldiers and we did our best to tear into these brothers, but we haven’t found anything wrong with their records, with the help of POW Net.

We’re proud of the small part we’ve played in this case so far, and unless the government can come up with a better case against the Valenzuelas, I think their resources would be better employed against real illegal immigrants instead of these two brothers – they’ve earned their place in this country.

How about we deport Blumenthal in their place? And for no extra charge we throw in a Jesse Macbeth and a Matthis Chiroux.

OldTrooper

That’s what I really don’t understand about the way our government is all over the fricken map about who they deem worthy of deportation and those they just don’t care about. What has Bobo’s auntie done to earn the right to stay in this country? Yet, the same government wants to deport to fine men who EARNED the right to stay here? WTF???

OldTrooper

That should be two*

You would think that Congress might consider automatic citizenship for anyone who served and was honorably discharged.

And yeah, if Obama’s Aunt gets to stay here, after ignoring several deportation orders, these two veterans should be allowed to stay as long as they’d like.

B Woodman

They’re welcome to come to my place if they need.

And OT, you’re right. The bass ackwardness of the (I can’t say OUR) Gubbment’s decisions leave me:
1-scratching my head in puzzlement
2-stamping my feet in frustration
3-my ears steaming in anger

Frankly Opinionated

They are concentrating on these two veteran brothers because all other cases of illegal entry, illegals committing crimes, Illegals taking jobs, have been handled and they have nothing better to do? I doubt that these two brothers are jobless, doubt that they are driving with no licenses, doubt that they are feeding on the system.
Makes my latest military design all that much more useful.

I need to dig up the old versions of the statutes, but being born to an American mother, these gents are US citizens and cannot be deported.

These men should be given U.S. citizenship ASAP if they don’t already have it. Within my unit in Nam we had several troops from foreign countries:(Brazil, Ireland, etc). They were doing the job the draft dodgers wouldn’t do (Bill Clinton, etc.) They were all very good soldiers.

What a wonderful story! But how disappointing in how our government is handling this matter. At the rate they’re going, I might start getting worried about my youngest – who was born in Germany, not here, because her father was stationed there serving in the Army. (I was a dependent wife for a number of years following my own service.)

Once a Marine

Might want to re-word that title. Makes it look like the WLF supports the pending deportation of these two heroes.

That’s what our government has become, always willing to screw over a good guy, but roll out the carpet for an oxygen thief.

Sporkmaster

But one question I have is that if a person is not here legally can use the argument that honorable military service then I can see it being asked are there any other things that would also allow a similar exception to no being deported?

I sympathize with the two but given what is going on in Arizona I can see a a argument being made out of this story.

OldTrooper

Well, Sporkster; we can always ask that very question of Bobo’s auntie. She ignored 2 deportation orders and just sat her fatass where she was and refused to go. Now she gets to stay and these fine gentlemen are getting SBT’d (screwed, blued, and tattoo’d) by the same government. We have the first Lady telling a 2nd grade kid that “we will have to fix that” after the kid said her mom was illegal. We have the President of Mexico allowed to verbally abuse a State in our country about their law while standing in the back yard of the that very country, while our President just stands there. Of course, we all know that Mexico has such stellar laws on immigration and illegal immigrants, and how they enforce them, that they can chastize Arizona and our country. F-ing assholes.

USMC Steve

How utterly typical of our beloved leftist federal government to insist on deporting two veterans but not one single other illegal. They sure bent over quick to suck Nobama’s dick and let his aunt stay here when she has no business or right to be here in the first place.

ray

am a honorable discharged vet that was deported to el salvador 2 years ago please help this guys its too late for me but please help them so they do not have to go trough what i have gone trough

Carl Webb

So as long as you’re willing to fight for the US empire it’s okay to be undocumented?

Iam honored to stand as a marine, what hurts the most is that theres no lawyers that realy have helped us. I have learn a lot from this nightmare, and most of all i have met very important people and realy to understand what power can do to people. I never in my life though this would happen to me. When i was in the jungle i knew what i was doing as a U.S.Marine and proud to be there, i was trained not to step down.My mother was born in Loving,New Mexico this is to say the second i was born i am a United State citizen. I will stand with the blessin of my mother if i have to alone. I have began to see how ugly this world can be. For all you people that understand my borther goes to court sept 29 in the fedarl building in denver this month i will be there for my brother Valente Valenzuela. Take time to look what might happen to you. Stand there with us.
