Minnesota taxpayer unwitting funder for African terrorist group
Many Somali-born Minnesota residents are accused of engaging in schemes that funneled Minnesota taxpayer money to al-Shabab, a Somalia based terror group. These schemes have been conducted in large enough scale to cause the Minnesota taxpayer to become a major funder for this terror group. President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to declare that he would end Somalian Protected Immigration Status.

Millions of dollars in taxpayer money stolen as part of a series of massive Minnesota welfare fraud schemes may have been funneled to Somalia-based terror group al-Shabab, according to a report.
The radical Islamic terror group, which is a longstanding ally of al Qaeda and considered a threat to US interests, has likely been the beneficiary of money stolen in a spate of scams and sent to Somalia by the criminals defrauding the North Star State, City Journal reported Wednesday, citing federal counterterrorism sources.
“This is a third-rail conversation, but the largest funder of al-Shabab is the Minnesota taxpayer,” a source who worked on a federal investigation into Minnesotans attempting to join overseas terror groups, told the outlet.
“There is an issue here that is real, and if there is ever an event that is traceable back to these funds, or to people from this area, then this situation will take on a whole new set of optics,” the source warned.
Minnesota has been plagued by several high-profile fraud scandals in recent years, the largest being the Feeding Our Future scheme, for which prosecutors have racked up 56 criminal convictions in what they allege was a plot to steal $300 million from a federally funded program meant to feed children during the coronavirus pandemic.
In recent months, the Minnesota US Attorney’s Office has uncovered multimillion-dollar fraud schemes targeting the state’s Medicaid Housing Stabilization Services program and a federally funded autism services for children program.
The state’s top prosecutor believes “billions of dollars in taxpayer money” has been stolen as a result of fraud.
“To be clear, this is not an isolated scheme,” acting US Attorney Joseph Thompson said in September when announcing the first charges in the autism fraud scheme. “From Feeding Our Future to Housing Stabilization Services and now Autism Services, these massive fraud schemes form a web that has stolen billions of dollars in taxpayer money.
“Each case we bring exposes another strand of this network. The challenge is immense, but our work continues.”

Minnesota. Never been there, can’t say I want to go. Growing up, I had a cassette tape of the Bananas at Large singing “Da Turdy Point Buck”. I was, and still am, a simple Southerner who stereotypes people from different states, much like others stereotype us. Virginia’s full of beer-swilling rednecks watching NASCAR. Here in Louisiana, everyone talks like Farmer Fran (The Waterboy and Joe Dirt). My thoughts about Minnesotans were that they, like every other Upper Midwesterner, talk like a cross between Fargo and Strange Brew (“Minesootans, eh”), eat cheese with a Leinenkugel’s in the hand (if I still drank, I’d probably head out to Total Wine and More to pick some up today), and watch football while waiting feverishly for deer season to open.
Key words are my thoughts were… Now, I’m just as ignorant about the day-to-day lives of Upper Midwesterners, but when I think about places like Minnesota, Michigan, or Wisconsin, I think of vast immigrant communities which had usurped American traditions and managed to creep into local, state, and federal politics. I also think of Blue cities where criminals are welcomed while cops and those who dare to wish for a sense of order and lawfulness are prosecuted for daring to speak up and/or defend themselves.
Nothing else to add, really. Color me surprised that the Turdy Point Bucks of yesteryear have been eclipsed by a who’s who cast of extras from Blackhawk Down who invaded the region, refused to assimilate even while demanding concessions from the American people, and even campaigned for public office while speaking a foreign language and holding the flag of a third-world country best known for having no functional government. I visited Minnesota a while back when Ventura was running for Governor. My wife and I attended the state fair and I was handed a Ventura for Governor card, still have it. People seemed friendly and respectful.
Between DFL pulling the Dems to the left and the addition of the thousands of Somalian scum, Minnesota has gone to hell.
Add a incompetent Governor and a loony legislative branch, things won’t better anytime soon.

From what I recall, yep… He went through BUD/S and was a UDT during Vietnam, serving in theater but never seeing combat. But, you know, the UDTs were merged with the SEAL Teams in the ’80s, so that pretty much makes him a SEAL.
He was a flamboyant personality and good WWF commentator, but I don’t recall knowing of him back when I was a kid enamored by the likes of Hulk Hogan, The Iron Shiek, and Junkyard Dog. I did like his character in “Predator”, and thought he was decent in “The Running Man”. When he was the Governor of Minnesota, I was blissfully ignorant of most politicians that didn’t affect me. It’s not like nowadays where I somehow know the names of Representatives and Governors from states I’ve never visited. Ventura l, like Schwarzenegger (and Trump, for that matter), was recognizable before getting into politics. He had some conspiracy show I never watched later on.
He should have stuck to wrestling and two-bit appearances in movies, though. When he fully backed Harris-Walz, I lost any interest in anything the guy has done.
Say what you will about Minnesota, but at least you can lop of your kid’s gonads here or get an abortion up to the minute of birth.
