Israel Doing What It Does Best

Kicking ass and taking names:

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Dubai police appealed for an international manhunt Tuesday after releasing names and photos of an alleged 11-member European hit squad accused of stalking and killing a Hamas commander last month in a plot that mixed cold precision with spy caper disguises such as fake beards and wigs.

Israel is neither “confirming nor denying”  that they had a role in this. Well, I can neither confirm nor deny the sky is blue.

I don’t think Dubai is serious about apprehending this “hit squad”. The fact is that Arab governments have about as little tolerance for the Palestinians as the Israelis do. If you look at the history of the Palestinians terrorist groups in places like Jordan, Syria, Egypt, and Lebanon you will find that the Palestinians haven’t been exactly welcomed with open arms by their “brother” Arabs. The noises about a trying to catch these guys (who are probably relaxing on a beach in Haifa right now) is just a way to appease the Arab street and radical elements in their own country.

A job well done Israel.

A job well done.

I agree that Arab governments have little tolerance for the Palestinians, but I disagree that Dubai isn’t serious about this. It’s not political for them. They don’t care about the victim, they care about the crime. Dubai is nearly crime free. There is no terrorism and they need to keep it that way. They have no oil revenue to speak of and their success depends on real estate, tourism and international finance. They need to keep that apple polished.

This is not to criticize the Israelis at all, you have to take whatever opportunity presents itself.

GO ISRAEL!!
One down, a million more to go. The odds look good in Israel’s favor.

Iran, beware. If Israel is willing to roll the dice & take on the odds when assassinating a Hamas Palestinian in a foreign land, then how far do you think they’ll go to deal with Y-O-U? “Do you feel lucky, punk?”

Frankly Opinionated

I watched a 30 minute video compiled from surveillance cameras in the hotels, shopping centers, etc. of the mission, and it is like a Ludlum novel. Really good work. Found the guy dead in his room with door locked, deadbolted, and chained. Found him a couple of days later, and everyone was gone. No one knows who did the deed, and some claim that with the Rag ‘eds history of messing with Israel that it had to be the Mossad. If only our CIA had the backing of gummint to do the things that need to be done, we could feel a bit safer.

Maggie–your claim that Dubai is “nearly crime free” just caused me to blow an entire cup of hot coffee through my nose. You owe me a new monitor.
