Joe Biden regrets ending his re-election campaign, and nominating Merrick Garland
Joe Biden reportedly voiced a couple of major regrets. One regret involved pulling the plug on his re-election bid. Biden felt that he would’ve defeated Donald Trump despite internal polling indicating that he would’ve gotten hammered. Biden also regretted nominating Merrick Garland for attorney general. Biden felt that Garland did not move fast enough with prosecuting Trump, while pointing out how fast action was taken against Hunter Biden.

With just more than three weeks of his single-term presidency remaining, Biden’s reported rueful reflections are revealed in a Washington Post profile that contains the clearest signs yet that he thinks he erred in withdrawing his candidacy in July after a woeful debate performance against his rival for the White House, Trump, the previous month.
The president stepped aside — to be replaced as his party’s nominee by the US vice-president, Kamala Harris — after mounting pressure from fellow Democrats, who cited polling evidence that appeared to show him heading for a near-certain election drubbing from Trump, who was seeking a historic return to the White House as the Republicans’ nominee.
Harris’s ascent to the top of the ticket led to a surge of enthusiasm and improved poll numbers but ultimately ended in a decisive electoral college and popular vote defeat.
While Biden and his aides have been careful not to blame Harris, they apparently believe the result would have been different if he had stood his ground, according to the Washington Post’s reporting.
It is a view disputed by many Harris supporters, who blame the president for waiting too long before withdrawing, thus leaving the vice-president with little time to mount an effective campaign.
They also point out that Biden’s determination to seek a second term violated his 2020 campaign vow to be a “transitional” figure, who would pass the torch after one term after steering the country away from Trump’s presidency.
“Biden ran on the promise that he was going to be a transitional president, and in effect, have one term before handing it off to another generation,” Richard Blumenthal, a Democratic senator for Connecticut told the Post.

The whole Biden/Harris, and later Harris/Walz, fiasco was just that. We had a geriatric and demented lifelong politician who finally ascended to the throne he lusted for only because he was an aging puppet who had some use as a tool. His VP was a relatively young First who wanted recognition as more than the First Female VP of Color, and who pandered to every demographic she could through her fake accents and mannerisms. Once the King was done Biden his time on the campaign trail, it was determined that Harris would take the scepter, with a run-of-the-mill classic politician (a middle aged “YT” man) who became known for his fixation with placing female hygiene products in bathrooms designed for young boys as well as his false statements about his military service.
Biden would have likely lost even worse than Harris did. We have to take into account the low-information voters who voted for Harris because she was a woman, Black, Asian, Indian (I’m sure some were confused and voted for her because they thought she was kin to Liz Warren), pot-smoking, rap-listening, BLM/Antifa-supporting progressive with her ear to the ground. Biden wouldn’t have gotten many of those votes.
As for Carter, RIP. I was born during his administration and can’t/won’t pretend to be overly passionate about his single term in the Oval Office. I know he wasn’t exactly the most effective President, and there are many reasons to dislike his actions and inactions, but he did serve, and I’ll admit a bias towards Southern people.
This whole story is just further evidence of how far removed from reality Joe Biden has become.

Just did a road trip from Colorado, through Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, and back. Saw HUNDREDS of Trump signs, on barns, semi trailers, silos, billboards, etc.. It wasn’t until yesterday that I saw the one and only sign referencing biden OR harris… a trailer with 6 foot tall letters in Safety Orange paint.. it said FJB…
My personal favorite was where someone took a Harris/Walz yard sign and wrote “TRUMPED” across it with a large magic marker!
