Hey! Why is my pantleg wet?

Oh, Obama says it’s raining;

President Barack Obama said new figures released Friday showing national unemployment has hit the double-digit mark are a sobering reminder of the challenges still facing the U.S. economy.

Standing in the White House Rose Garden a few hours after the government reported that the jobless rate hit 10.2 percent last month, Obama said his administration is working hard to restore the struggling economy.

It’s a good thing Joe Biden is watching that stimulus distribution, or we’d be in deep kim che about now.

Good thing they promised me that unemployment would never get above 8 percent by passing Porkulus.

Jonn…Watch out…The Rainbow Riders are coming to the rescue…(actually, that is a pretty scarey thought!)

Gary

He won’t rest until the economy rebounds…this guys has been on more vacations in the past 10 months than I have taken in my entire life.

defendUSA

Red State has a great report on the Pied Piper’s motives for the Unemployment rate (and other excuses…)blah.

How do you set up a poll to ask those of us unemployed if we stopped looking…I’m betting the numbers would rise.

Joe

Hey, it took Bush and Co. eight years to totally destroy the economy – give the guy a chance. You ever try to turn the USS Missouri on a dime? Impossible. Some indicators are on the upswing, but when the previous administration FUBAR’ed it, the really FUBAR’ed it.

Joe…there you go again talking out of your ass…Please stop embarrassing us with your stupid retoric…we prefer our trolls to try and have just a little class,I can’t keep defending you when you say stupid, baseless,s**t! And Joe…one more little favor please…please stop trying to sound so military by saying stuff like FUBAR,TARFU,FIGMO,SNAFU,…ect..especially when you don’t know the meaning of them, okay? Thanks and stuff.

Joe

AHF,
How can you continue to chastise President Obama when you and I both know he inherited an economy in freefall, an economy with huge momentum and inertia, like a runaway semi with no brakes. He’s done OK so far, stopped the slide, some indicators going up, but not jobs, unfortunately. Jobs typically are the last thing to bounce back. Even he admitted there would be mistakes, false starts – it’s not an exact science. As to the acronyms, growing up in the immediate aftermath of WWII, I became familiar with two of them, although my dad used the word “fouled” in place of the more current “f**ked”. As to TARFU, and FIGMO, not sure….

ROS

Right, because when you inherit such a horrid economy, the first thing you do is go on a spending spree and triple the deficit.

Moronic tool.

UpNorth

Beat me to it, ROS. Just heard on Fox, if you count the unemployed and under-employed, the figure is 17%+. Now, that is not counting the ones who quit looking for jobs, like Defend said.
But keep on keeping on Joe, you sure do provide comic relief around here. Like, “He’s done OK so far”. Just to refresh your somewhat limited memory, he passed the stimulus to keep unemployment from exceeding 8%. Done OK on that so far, right?

ciccio

The minute your unemployment payments stop you are off the list.
The actual figure is 17.5%. Every Friday the FDIC announce the bank failures for the week. This week it was 5, last month 20, the total for the year is now 120. The list of problem banks has now gone up to 505, the potential loss is a trillion dollars, but not to worry says the FDIC, they can get a trillion from the Treasury. This particular insurance company is so healthy they have just raised the rates and asked their customers to pre-pay for the next two years so that they can pay this years claims. They used to have assets of $1.30 per $100 insured, this is now down to 22 cents. What is even funnier is that all their assets are government debt. Whilst we are on the subject of trillions the reason the Freddie/Fanny farce has not been closed down and run out of town is that the Federal reserve – contrary to its charter and in violation of the law – has been buying their toxic assets.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it Joe.

ROS

But those are facts! The whining apologist only believes in rainbows and ponies.

Gary

BDS strikes again. The economy was starting to slide in the last year of Bush’s presidency (which is actually quite common at the end of 2nd term presidents), but Obama promised he could fix all of that by spending $1 trillion in the Porlulus package. So now I ask, why he is not being held to account for that? Why is NEVER held to account for any of his actions or statements?

Gary

Sorry for the typo. “…is he NEVER held…”

A Heros Friend

Joe…You really should pay more attention to national and world events, not just MSM garbage…it will give you a healthier, more rounded world view…BTW…I need a BIG favor from you…me and some of the guys and gals around here kinda like you some and we would like to adopt you as TAH’s official troll with all benefits and priviledges entitled to right wing trolls…one small problem though…TSO was wondering if you would mind changing you screen name to “The Wet Dream Kid”…how’s that grab ya? Cool,no? Thanks Joe,in advance…

Old Trooper

Come on folks, we can’t expect Joe to actually have a lucid reply to the facts laid out for him; can we? He hasn’t gotten the latest talking points from George Soros and Move On.crap. It’s quite obvious that he hasn’t, since he’s still using the “he inherited it” mantra that has been splayed open numerous times over a year ago. I wonder if that saying would have worked for Ronald Reagan? “I inherited this economy in freefall”. Reagan didn’t need to blame the previous administration, because we all knew Carter hosed it up, beside that, he ignored all the bs and set to rebuilding not only the confidence in our economy, but the confidence in the American people. Something Bobo has no interest in doing. That Joe is still cheerleading the Bobo administration exposes a mental illness that not even electro shock therapy could cure. Joe would probably have been defending and cheering the captain of the Titanic because he “inherited” a ship with too small of rudder and couldn’t be blamed for it not turning fast enough.

In Joe’s world a deficit in Bush’s last year of $420 billion was very bad, but a deficit in Bobo’s first year of $1.76 trillion is great! Do you see your blatant bias and hypocrisy, Joe? Are you too blinded by radical ideology to see that there is nothing of this President’s handling of anything, foreign and domestic, that can be defended, especially with the “he inherited it” bullshit?
