Father Tracks Down, Shoots Man Who Allegedly Beat His Daughter

AWR HAWKINS
A Wood River, Illinois, father tracked down a man Tuesday suspected of beating his daughter and shot him, FOX 2 News reported.

The man’s daughter came home around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, allegedly showing signs of having been beaten. The father went out searching for the culprit who beat her and found him “by Lewis and Clark Junior High School.”

An eyewitness said the father shot the man who allegedly beat the girl and the man allegedly shot the father too.

An eyewitness indicated “he heard a pop, he stepped outside and saw the [father] man standing over the younger one, pointing a gun at him.” The younger man was begging the father not to shoot him when the father said, “That’s my daughter! She means everything to me!”

We all get it, but there’s a time and place for everything. This was neither.

Detectives say the suspect was in a physical struggle with 74-year-old Sherry Treadwell when he was shot in the shoulder.

NORTH REDINGTON BEACH, Fla. — A man was shot by a homeowner during an attempted burglary overnight at a North Reddington Beach home, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office reports.

Deputies were first called at 3:16 a.m. Wednesday for reports of a man standing in the middle of Gulf Boulevard and yelling.

While they were on their way, deputies received a second call at 3:23 a.m. about a burglary on nearby Bath Club Boulevard. They say they arrived at the home to find 51-year-old Robert Jackson outside with a single gunshot wound.

Detectives were able to determine that Jackson was yelling in the middle of Gulf Boulevard before traveling to the Bath Club Boulevard home and using a large rock to smash through the front window, according to the sheriff’s office.

Once inside, deputies say he ran into 74-year-old Sherry Treadwell and “began to struggle with her physically.”

Sherry’s husband, 76-year-old John Treadwell, heard Sherry screaming his name in distress and saw the altercation.

Mr. Jackson is the real rock here. I admire Mr. Treadwell’s discipline.

Caution.

In a perfect world, Dear Old Dad would be given a Medal…and some range time.

Nutjob musta had rocks in his head to take a rock to a gunfight.

Tucson nutjob did a successful suicide by cop.

“Brother can you spare some dimes?” That Sig would make a nice Bug Out Bag accessory.

Why does the pic of that Lovely Leggy Ms Thang make me think of an Old ZZ Top tune? She’s got ’em and I bet she knows how to use ’em! Mercy!

New Year’s Resolution:

Clock out on time when opening, grab range bag, and spend at least two hours’ pay on ammunition. The range is free, I allegedly have one or two handguns, and best of all, I open three days next week. I make little to nothing but can afford a box of 9mm every hour or two. .44 Magnum? Yeah, that’s a half-day’s pay…
