INDIANAPOLIS — Two people are in stable condition after a shooting that left a car flipped on the city’s northwest side Thursday afternoon.
Shortly after 2 p.m. on Dec. 7, IMPD officers were called to the 7300 block of Lafayette Road on a report of a person shot and a flipped vehicle.
When officers arrived, they found two victims with gunshot wounds. Both victims’ conditions were said to be stable.
According to a release from IMPD, an adult woman allegedly attempted to sell a gun to a 16-year-old male. The teen then allegedly stole the gun and drove off in their car.
Police said the adult woman then chased after the teen.

I think most of us have already commented on the first incident, where the Honorable Order of the NDSM was called into question as the alleged offender is a recipient.
I haven’t engaged in a private party firearms sale with a stranger in well over a decade. I think the last time was actually early 2000s, when I made my first and only “gun show loophole” purchase, paying about $100 for a Spanish Guardia Civil M1916 Mauser chambered in 7.62 NATO. I never made a sale, always being the buyer, but there were some potentially sketchy situations, like when I chose the HK91 instead of the Daewoo K2 out of a seller’s trunk for $700. Wish I’d have chosen the latter… It was legit, back in the days when paper classified ads and public parking lots were the norm for gun sales, but in hindsight seems like something from Taxi Driver.
Most of the customers who sell their guns to us just want to make sure things are done right. There’s a lot of ignorance about gun laws, where people think that they have to sell to a licensed dealer, but there are also those who want to play it safe. When a coworker’s dad had to go into assisted living, she brought his guns in. She was worried about trying to piece them out, and rightfully so, as thieves and ne’er-do-wells could have easily harmed her and/or stolen the guns. That’s where the $1600 NHM-90 and NHM-91 came from, a vintage Mini-14 and Mini-30, and the SKS Sporter I ended up buying came from, all more or less new in box and from the pre-Clinton years.
These age-restricted videos make me appreciate my current position even more. Everyone who regularly posts here knows how much I talked about becoming a cop after retirement. Low pay, long hours, and the possibility of getting a shiny new scar, permanent sleep, or prison time for a spur-of-the-moment life-or-death decision isn’t worth it.

Mr. Borchardt saw a “kneed” and bent to a will. The result was huge, Oh!
Escort duty coming up right shortly. Y’all play nice, ya heah!
The Borchardt… a pistol of its time that was a direct predecessor to one of the most (in)famous pistols of all time–the Luger. Growing up in the ’80s, the Luger P-08 and other variants still had that allure that other guns simply don’t. I used to think the Nintendo Zapper looked like it, and I’m pretty certain I had a broken Zapper I’d cut the cord off of to use in toy gun fights, before the Mighty BB Gun Wars of the Trailer Park (rules stated, ‘one pump’ for “safety”, back when that term meant something different).
It looks ungainly and odd compared to anything made post 1910 or so, but it left an impact, and the Luger redesign/improvement was used through WWII, despite being replaced by the P38, itself an innovative pistol.
