More Good News; Khamenei is Dead!
Khamenei has died. The formal announcement is expected to be made tomorrow morning (Tehran time) .
Relative to this, all regime organizations including the official regime news agency “Seda va Sima” are being draped in black.
I’ll believe this with more optimism when an official announcement comes out of Iran but it’s 1630 and even this report is good enough for a drink on a cold rainy afternoon.
To all at TAH, Cheers.

Hopefully, he and his ilk will burn in hell forever. Now, if we can just get I’mayiddenwhackjob to follow him (May the Israeli’s kick Iran’s ass… and soon.)
I am about to break out the Hendrick’s gin and have a quick study break. Hoorah for the entire world.
Let’s hope it was a long and painful descent.
And they say there aren’t unicorns. 😉
This is awesome, awesome news, if true. Thanks, COB6
Like I needed another (oh, hell–ANY) reason to have a beer after work, but I’ll take this one!
But I hate to bring down the mood, but what exactly does this change?
Here’s my question-
what’s the appropriate drink for the celebration?
COB6 Wrote: To Sporkmaster: Good point. It really changes nothing other than a huge temptation for I’m-a-dinner-jacket to overreach and attempt to take the Mullahs out of the picture entirely. He could do this in the short term but would likely make his regime very fragile internally.
To Dave: If true, I would suggest a nice aged Scotch, clean. If not, several cold American lagers should ease the pain.
To celebrate; ANYTHING alcoholic.
And a nice PORK roast.
May he be buried in a pig skin.
Spork,
Probably not much, but dayum, it seems nice!
Dave,
I’ll go with COB6, a single malt scotch is most appropriate, may I suggest Glenfidditch or Glenlivet although there are many that will do, just stick with a single malt…..
After getting spanked at hockey tonight by a college team, I’m drowning my sorrows with the Glenlivet tonight, and toasting the good fortunes of the people of Iran as well!
Don’t the Assembly of Experts have to appoint a new Supreme Leader of Iran? If Rafsanjani is more centrist and 60 or so mujtahid are inline with his leanings, how much influence does Dinner Jacket really have in this situation? Also, which Rafsanjani is going to show up now that Khamenei is dead? The one that crushes dissent ala 1990s, or the one that promoted freedom of speech, and a free market?
Barkeep, pork rinds all around — On me!
