By Ashley Morrison
A Wellington man was shot Wednesday morning after he had allegedly attacked another man while in an altercation over a dog, officials say.

Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Falon Hurst said that around 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, a 911 call had been placed from a landowner stating that he had shot a man that had attacked him on his property.

Upon arrival to the property at the 4000 block of Old Sulphur Springs Road in Wellington, first responders found that the man’s neighbor, Thomas Farmer, 47, of Wellington, had died from a single gunshot wound to the chest.

Man arrested for choking ex-wife; she stabs in self-defense

By Tesina Jackson
Responding to a domestic call on Oct. 21, officers with the Tahlequah Police Department arrested a local man who had reportedly been stabbed by his ex-wife after he choked her in front of their children.

According to reports, authorities responded to the Wheeler Circle residence, where the woman told police the suspect was visiting with the children. She claimed that her ex-husband made her end her relationship with her boyfriend, and when she asked him why he didn’t leave his girlfriend, he reportedly got mad and hit her in front of the children.

She reported that he then threw her on the ground and put his hands around her neck. She saw a screwdriver on the ground and stabbed the suspect and kicked him off of her.

She was thinking about screwing him, I guess.

He certainly screwed up when he screwed with her.

“… died from a single gunshot wound to the chest.” Imma thinking the property owner was adhering to a caliber worthy of HMS JMB (HBHN). Don’t mess with a man’s dog.

Ol’ Tom has got to be spining in his grave over what has become of our Republic.

Every Patriot needs a MSR…or 12…for…reasons. Not so much for hunting 4 legged critters but for defending themselves against 2 legged vermin. The Founders didn’t draft the 2A sitting around a Hunting Camp fire. They had just thrown off the yoke of an oppressive, despotic, power hungry ruler.

Got a free Colt .25 pocket pistol from my friends Daughter after his passing. He was a Yonkers Detective and took it off of a perp many years ago. They went for around 5 bucks at Sears.

If the wellington’s home owner’s property had a big dip in it then the shot perp Farmer would be the Farmer in the Dell.
