Weekend Open Thread
One of this cartoon’s messages is that conditions in leftist controlled cities are worse than what you would find in a totalitarian regime. Many of the members of the subreddit, “The Right Can’t Meme,” presented cookie-cutter progressive talking points. One even hinted at the “unique” challenges faced by running a business in the middle of a “diversity” area. What is even funnier is that some of these individuals think that they are “smarter” than the rest of us. Enjoy your weekend!

First!
Commissioner Wretched,
Congrats.
Proud to be 2nd to your 2nd in a row 1st.
🙂
WHOOP WHOOP….I’m doing travel for bosses and such to I’m face deep in that and I didn’t realize it was even after 3.
Hot Dogs and Cheezeburgers and sodas for everyone!!
have a good and safe Labod Day weekend and I’m off to Secure Rehoboth for Joey Bite Me, but he’s going to Floriduah so oh well, maybe he’ll stay the fuck away….go to Hawaii and Mexico wouldn’t ya?!?!?
A Congo Rat to you, Good Sir, on your Firstness. I purposely scheduled some Escort Duty to be off the ‘net when the WOT was to drop. Thought it would open the field a bit for the haters of those of us that regularly keep our eyes on the target of the Coveted EARNED NEVER AWARDED TAH Friday Weekend Open Thread FIRST. Maybe I should have posted that tid bit of info earlier? I see that many of the usual suspects are conspicuous in their absence. Hmmm
Nothin’ gooder than a WOT FIRST when it’s a twofer…or as some say…a double shot. Take your Medallion and swing.
Speaking of which…this is something that we all wouldn’t mind having…a double shot of….
The potion that I had too much of…
I’ll pass up 1st
for this 2 minutes of military phony comedy gold
from 11pm last night.
Watch JR Majewski flash some new phony, too.
Any questions?
This time,
JR Majewski dragged down a “veterans” organization with him,
VFAF / Veterans for America First / Veterans for Trump.
How long does JR and that org think they can con (other) veterans?
This whole clown show now looks a LOT more like the
Elko POW*MIA Awareness Ass.
Any veteran’s organization that’ll claim “vindication” based on an award not specific to Afghanistan needs to start coughing up certified copies of their DD 214’s.
SFC D,
The finger is now pointed not only at JR Majewski,
but also VFAF / Veterans for Trump head
Stan Fitzgerald (Google that name),
who I am told has a bad history
in the collector trading card world,
and (coincidence!!)
now makes and sells “Veterans for Trump” cards.
Is Stan Fitzgerald even a veteran?
If so, why can’t Stan spend 10 minutes learning about the GWOT-E medal, before megaphoning this big new lie, with paid “press releases” and quasi news website articles?
Obviously, not fit to do anything involving a veterans org.
Ugh.
I’m definitely pointing the finger at them.
So….
Where is Majewski’s Afghanistan Campaign Medal (ACM)? Makes you wonder why his DD215 and news articles, to include the VFAF, specifies the GWOT-EM, NOT the ACM…
Maybe THIS explains it..i.e. he was never Boots On The Ground in Afghanistan…
https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/CFR-2008-title32-vol3/xml/CFR-2008-title32-vol3-sec578-29.xml
Or maybe this…😆😅🤣😂
“J.R. Majewski Recalls Moment He Killed Bin Laden…He Fired 47 Shots, All In His Head.”
https://www.duffelblog.com/p/jr-majewski-recalls-moment-he-killed
What A DoucheBag. Another Village Lost An Idiot.
Majewski has insulted the families of those who lost their lives serving in Afghanistan. Majewski was stationed in Qatar from May to November 2002.
Qatar was R&R for Troops in 2002.
He needs to be ashamed for himself. Better yet, he needs MORE shaming via the public…
Rest In Peace, Master Sergeant John A. Chapman:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_A._Chapman
“John Allan Chapman (July 14, 1965 – March 4, 2002) was a combat controller in the United States Air Force who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor on August 22, 2018, for his actions in the Battle of Takur Ghar during the War in Afghanistan. He is the first airman to receive the Medal of Honor since the Vietnam War. He was inducted into the Hall of Heroes on August 23, 2018, and posthumously promoted to Master Sergeant on the following day.”
“Chapman was also the first Air Force combat controller to be awarded the Air Force Cross. His award was subsequently upgraded to the Medal of Honor.”
ninja,
According to this video AND the
VFAF / Veterans for Trump website,
Admiral Chuck Kubic is their national spokesman.
Is Kubicaware of what JR and Stan have just done?
“Where is Majewski’s Afghanistan Campaign Medal (ACM)? Makes you wonder why his DD215 and news articles, to include the VFAF, specifies the GWOT-EM, NOT the ACM…“
There’s the right question! I got the GWOT-EM for service in K2, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait. There’s a half-shitload of other places on the eligibility list. It proves nothing.
ninja and SFC D,
This is my 7:35am (redacted) email
to the staff of VG.
I sure hope VG puts out a new article on JR.
You know, to plop a short link to VG anywhere.
JR has certainly earned some additional new national attention.
“It’s all I can do.” (The Cars)
Good album. So is candy o.
Odie,
This is the 3rd song on Candy-O.

Had my albums mixed up. I thought I remembered candy o as having the 340 duster on the cover.
BONUS –
Friday evening at 7:05 pm,
KARI LAKE (Arizona)
just pushed the JR Majewski Afghanistan lie.
https://twitter.com/KariLake/status/1697747437102964922
That’s gonna bite her in the ass. And such a fine ass it is.
SFC D,
JR is now quintupling down.
“I vindicated myself”.
JR doing the rounds on podcasts last night.
Now citing Kari Lake (and Matt Gaetz).
Talking lawsuits.
“smeared me”.
According to JR, it’s everyone else’s fault, but JR’s.
Victim card to the max. Again.
JR got his DD-215, JR got his GWOT-E,
then JR proceeded to shoot himself in the ass.
Unprompted. Self inflicted.
Jump to 4:55 here.
https://rumble.com/v3dytjo-rino-hunters-with-beadles-and-majewski-on-red-pill-news-live-special-editio.html
I can’t wait to see those lawsuits. They’re just gonna prove what 99% of GWOT vets already know. The only “smearing” is the bovine fecal matter JR has covered himself in. Popcorn stocks going higher higher.
SFC D,
This is SO similar to MP/VG exposed phonies
publicly threatening MP/VG with lawsuits.
Bluster, buffoonery, bullshit, blah blah,
in most cases never even a letter,
and if 1 letter is sent,
there is almost never a 2nd.
Oh, and NO lawsuits, anywhere.
The biggest pile here,
is JR Majewski thinking he can con veterans.
The more I look at VFAF / Veterans for Trump,
they now describe the org as
“veterans and first responders”,
apparently running really low on the veterans side.
——–
VG staff,
is this close to your experiences?
And now there’s this, in JR’s hometown Toledo Blade.
(Quote by JR)
“It’s not my fault that the military says I am a combat veteran
if they don’t like it because I wasn’t kicking in doors,”
he said Thursday.
“Not all of us were kicking in doors and shooting people.”
And this, added by the story author…

was among the countries that received the designation under Mr. Bush’s executive order — a status that remains in effect today.]

Last comment from MarineDad61 for the holiday weekend.
Departing for the beach shortly.
This is the JR Majewski version of shtick, as of September 1.
It’s how (not JR, but) others “GOT CAUGHT” ???
No remorse from JR
for being a lying shitbird… who “GOT CAUGHT”,
and continues to blame everyone else but himself.
Mr. Kick Ass once again pulling out his metal engraved victim card.
Oh, and on podcasts…..
JR is back to claiming he’s a “combat veteran” of “Afghanistan”.
You know…. because the VA says so.
Stay safe this holiday weekend.
That means you.
And you, too. 🙂
Yeah! Two in a row! Now that’s living! Double the good stuff for everybody!
I only have one trivia column, though, so I’ll share it with you here. Enjoy another week of my benevolent rule!
DID YOU KNOW…?
How many of the first inductees into the Baseball Hall of Fame attended the ceremony?
By Commissioner Wretched
didyouknowcolumn@gmail.com
Stick a fork in it … it’s done.
Summer, that is.
Yes, I know the actual fall equinox, the first day of autumn, isn’t until September 23. But this coming weekend is Labor Day weekend, which is the unofficial end of summer.
So summer’s done. The kids are all back in school (or are about to be), the vacations have mostly been taken, and it’s time to settle back into the regular routine of the world in the fall.
I hope your summer was fun and uneventful (unless, of course, the events were nice ones). My own was pretty much as it always is – long and enjoyable.
Something else that’s enjoyable is trivia. So here’s this week’s helping! Have fun with it.
Did you know …
… “your mom” jokes are not new? You know the ones I’m referring to: “Your mom is so old that …” and you fill in something humorous at the end. In 1976, a tablet found in the ruins of ancient Babylon was translated and shown to have a “your mom” joke on it. The problem is, the punch line is missing from the tablet, so we really don’t know what the joke is all about. (That is a crying shame.)
… dogs actually understand some English? Researchers tell us that our canine companions are able to understand the meaning of about 150-165 different words. They work best with words that have hard consonants like “t” or “r,” which could explain why your dog can hear the word “treat” three rooms away and come running. (And why they flee in terror when you say “bath” or “vet.”)
… a housefly’s feet are nasty? How nasty, you ask? Each of the housefly’s six feet contains around one million bacteria. If that’s not enough, another twenty seven million exist on the body of the little pest, meaning your typical housefly is buzzing around you with about thirty-three million bacteria going along for the ride. (Yet another reason to swat ‘em when you see ‘em!)
… you can participate in kaninhoppning? What’s that you say? You’d like to, but you don’t know what kaninhoppning is? Ease your mind, it’s not illegal. It’s a Swedish competition also known as rabbit show jumping. The competition involves rabbits navigating an obstacle course that includes seesaws, ramps, hoops and fences. The rabbits get to show off their jumping skills all the way through. (It’s a pretty hare-raising event.)
… two of the most-loved Christmas-season songs were written during the summer? In July of 1945, two songwriters – Robert Wells (1922-1998) and Mel Tormé (1925-1999) – were trying to “stay cool” on a very hot day when they composed “The Christmas Song,” which you probably know better from its opening line: “Chestnuts roasting on an open fire.” And another holiday favorite, “Let It Snow,” was also written during that hot July of ’45. Composed by Sammy Cahn (1913-1993) and Jule Styne (1905-1994), it too was created in an effort to think cooler thoughts. (You have to hope it worked.)
… only four of the first five players inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame attended their induction ceremonies? Opened in 1936 in Cooperstown, New York, the first five inductees were Ty Cobb (1886-1961), Babe Ruth (1895-1948), John “Honus” Wagner (1874-1955), Walter Johnson (1887-1946), and Christy Mathewson (1880-1925). Cobb, Ruth, Wagner and Johnson were at the opening of the Museum, but Mathewson had died of tuberculosis eleven years earlier. Additional trivia note: Admission to the Hall of Fame requires a player to have been retired from the game for at least five years, but a special exception was made for Ruth, who had retired the year before. The five-year rule has been waived on three other occasions: Lou Gehrig (1903-1941) was inducted in 1939 following his diagnosis with ALS; Joe DiMaggio (1914-1999) was elected in 1955, four years after his retirement; and Roberto Clemente (1934-1972) was elected to the Hall shortly after his death in a plane crash. While no player has ever been elected while still active in the game, one manager was – Connie Mack (1862-1956), who was elected to the Hall in 1937 while still actively managing the Philadelphia Athletics.
… the city in the world with the most equitable climate is in South America? The capital city of Ecuador, Quito, sits squarely on the Equator. The Sun always rises at the same time every day, and sets at the same time. The temperature rarely goes below 46 degrees Fahrenheit and rarely goes over 72 degrees. The city is known as “the Land of Eternal Spring.” (And rightly so.)
… a famous author kept a macabre keepsake in her desk? Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley (1797-1851), the author of Frankenstein, kept the preserved heart of her deceased husband, poet Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822), wrapped in silk in her desk. (How … uh … nice.)
… the automobile industry is the primary reason there isn’t more public transportation in the United States? Not by chance, though; it was done on purpose. In 1938, General Motors began buying out the public transportation in several California cities, such as Los Angeles, Sacramento, and San Diego. The automaker then ran the public transportation system to the ground, so people would purchase more automobiles and switch to private transportation. (And you thought it was just a conspiracy theory!)
… a term exists for a sentence which contains all 26 letters of the alphabet? It’s called a pangram sentence. You probably don’t utter such a sentence every day, or every week even, unless you’re reading aloud something like, “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog,” or, “Jackdaws love my big sphinx of quartz.” (If you’re just saying those phrases naturally, you probably need professional help.)
Now … you know!
Believe it was Robert Bloch, who wrote “Psycho”, said he wrote as he did because he had the heart of a little boy…pickled, in a jar on his desk.
“the automobile industry is the primary reason there isn’t more public transportation in the United States? Not by chance, though; it was done on purpose. In 1938, General Motors began buying out the public transportation in several California cities, such as Los Angeles, Sacramento, and San Diego. “
Hence, the background of the story (written & movie) “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”.
Another fine job on the trivia post, CW. Muchly appreciated. Keep ’em coming.
I wonder if the ancient mom joke finished with… your mom’s so fat, when she sits around the pyramids, she sits AROUND the pyramids.

So whilst looking at the book of the fake; I noticed an “I love me post” of a retired Lt Col. He claimed to have gone from E-1 to O-5 and retired with 25 years of active service. He posted a lovely picture of himself in the old USAF service dress with his command pilot wings, Lt Col leaves, and 2 good conduct medals. Still possible; however he had no overseas ribbons, no campaign medals, no “flying” medals, and no Legion of Merit (the officers’ good conduct medal). The new service dress wasn’t mandatory until a year or so after he retired but, I’d expect one so sharp to have worn the new service dress when it was optional.
Many folks commented how they knew him as an Airman and “whattaguy” comments.
I smell a fake; but, if he’s not doing it for gain, alas, there’s nothing to be done.
My point is, if you’re going to be a fake, do it right. Have some imagination.
In fairness, one CAN go from E1 to O5 in 25 years….doesn’t the Air Force have OCS?
In fairness, was his picture taken before he retired? That may explain why there was no LOM on his uniform.
When did he serve? Was he active Air Force? Was most of his service during peacetime?
ninja and Dennis,
My son went from Marines E-1 to E-5 to O-3 Captain
in 8 years active duty.
(NAPS / USNA in between.)
He’s knocking on the door of O-4 Major (Summer 2024?),
and O-5 LTCol before 20 years is a real possibility.
🙂
Congrats to him 👏
Could happen. Being a pilot and enlisted for only two or three years helps in the Air Force.
In fairness to everyone I agree it could happen. However, 2 good conduct medals usually mean 6 years of active duty. Enlistees get one when accepted as cadets even if they hadn’t served 3 years. He could have enlisted with a bachelor’s degree and had gone to OTS with no break in service, or earned one on active duty with no break. However again, during his active duty there was Panama, Grenada, desert shield/storm/northern watch/southern watch, etc.
And there’s this: In the Air Force, Lt Col’s must have sixteen years of service and a minimum of three years of service as a Major. Most spend three years as a major before being promoted. One has to be at least a Captain to go over 20 years of active duty. The math says it could happen and I agree it could happen.
I hope he was a Lt Col. I am not convinced.
So Young…
The irony of this story?
MarineDad61 posted a comment about the infamous JR Majewski (Phony Afganistan Air Force Vet), who lost to Marcy Kaptur for Ohio’s 9th Congressional in 2022.
Joe ran against Marcy Kaptur in 2012…
“Joe The Plumber,’ Who Rose To Fame After Confronting Barack Obama On 2008 Campaign trail, Dead At 49”
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/joe-plumber-rose-fame-confronting-obama-2008-campaign-trail-dead-49
“Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, who became known as “Joe the Plumber” after garnering national media attention for confronting then-presidential candidate Barack Obama on the 2008 campaign trail, died Sunday, his wife, Katie Wurzelbacher, confirmed Monday in an email to Fox News Digital. He was 49.”
“Joe Wurzelbacher, the owner of a plumbing business at the time, rose to national acclaim when he confronted Obama at a 2008 campaign event in Toledo, Ohio, accusing the Democrat presidential candidate’s tax plan of conflicting with the American dream. Obama countered that the plan would help small businesses grow more quickly.”
“Wurzelbacher’s name was reportedly mentioned more than a dozen times during the Oct. 15, 2008, presidential debate between Obama and McCain. Wurzelbacher went on to run an unsuccessful bid against Democrat Rep. Marcy Kaptur for Ohio’s 9th Congressional District seat in 2012. He is survived by his wife and children.”

Here.
1st daughter-in-law’s special needs brother passed away today.
2nd daughter-in-law lost her baby earlier this week.
Rough time at the GB Compound this week.
Y’all take care.
My most sincere condolences Graybeard, to you and yours.
May His Blessings bring some measure of His Peace and Comfort to you and yours, Brother Graybeard. That will be our prayer.
Very sorry to hear that, Gray. My heart goes out to you and yours.
My deepest condolences, Gray. Your family is in my prayers.
Dear TAH readers –
I thoroughly enjoy the repartee here and usually learn something when I click on these pages. That said, I do not enjoy seeing one sputtering pigeon strut all over this board and crap all over the place while screeching everyone is wrong, stupid, conspiracy theorist and whatever-ist. But, as a true seeker of both knowledge and diversity of opinion, I muddle through the rants and the generally clever and amusing responses to get to the meat of the conversation.
As a true American I will never ask for someone to be canceled, blocked, banned or shut down for their opinions, no matter how ill-intended or disgracefully shared. I will however suggest we treat such childish tantrums the way one would a five-year-old screaming for a toy. Ignore them until they calm down and learn how to conduct themselves. It is my sincere belief the most undisciplined, savage five-year-old would learn quicker, if we tested the theory.
But it may be worth a try as this course of action has an added benefit. Nothing gets a tantrum-thrower more upset than being ignored.
BTW – I have a little wheel and it does work, but I try to edit before I hit the green “Post Comment” button. That, and I’m a grown up and own my mistakes. As a grown up, I know that if I’m that fired up about something, posting, commenting, emailing, or communicating in any way for that matter, will probably not reflect well on my character. Then again, not editing, pausing, reflecting and attempting to communicate in an adult fashion is a reflection of character as well.
So, when I say that spastic pigeon is a perfect example of everything I and most of those here will fight against with our dying breath, I rest assured that is stated with a calm and measured intent.
Because God has a sense of humor, note the type in the last sentence. I could’ve edited, but it’s just too funny
But he is never coming back… Again…
Oh, Christ…what NOW???
Just RTBed after one hell of a day.
Many things. Nothing good done but we have plans, my wife and I have a house… in need of work, then the work starts.
If you could, have a great weekend and help a loved one.
Call someone that’s gotten out of the circle.
And for the love of everything that’s holy, wear eye pro.
Done being cryptic. Beer:30 hrs!
I’ll catch up tomorrow, I hope…
Don’t forget “change your socks, 800mg Motrin, return to duty”.
Drink water!
And happy greetings from Casa de Sparky, NOT the Western Annex, for once.
Just remember, if you’re gonna act a fool, judge won’t be in until Tuesday.
My dad always said “Go have fun. But if you get arrested on Saturday night, I’m not bailing you out until Monday. Why should my weekend be ruined?”
AB Brother did that to his firstborn once.
Last time that boy played the fool to that degree.
I was wild and crazy in my ute but I never tested dad’s statement. I’m pretty sure his dad told him the same thing.
