Cocoa police: Fight between man, ex-girlfriend led to shootout near children’s football practice

Hayley Crombleholme
COCOA, Fla. —
Cocoa police believe they have a suspect identified after a shootout between a coach and a man not far from a children’s football practice Tuesday.

“It had nothing to do with football. All we heard was gunshots,” said Rashad Williams, the president of Cocoa Youth Athletics.

He was on the field Tuesday when he says one of his coaches went to intervene in a fight happening not far from the field.

“Because the kids ran and came and got him,” he said.

And next thing Williams knew, “We heard the gunshots,” he said.

Cocoa police said the coach intervened when things got physical between a woman and her ex-boyfriend.

They say the ex went and grabbed a gun from his car.

“And began to shoot at the witness who was trying to intervene,” public information officer Yvonne Martinez said. “That witness then also retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and there was an exchange of gunfire.”

Woman shot man who followed her to north Raleigh Food Lion parking lot, tried to open her car door
Raleigh police have decided not to file charges after a woman shot and killed a man in the parking lot of a Food Lion grocery store.

By Aaron Thomas , WRAL reporter
Raleigh police will not file charges after a woman shot and killed a man in the parking lot of a Food Lion grocery store.

According to police, 49-year-old Steven McLamb is accused of tugging on a woman’s car door handle Tuesday after following her to the store at 7713 Lead Mine Road.

He reportedly became aggressive as they were driving, and the woman shot McLamb in self defense.

McLamb died from his injuries in the hospital.

Raleigh police Maj. Brian Harrison said that authorities do not plan to file charges unless new evidence becomes available.

The NRA is funded by weapons manufacturers, and those same manufacturers know that they stand to lose some business if we pass common-sense gun legislation. As a result, the NRA contributes money to politicians to ensure that gun control never happens.

Regarding the grocery store lot shooting. The first part of the story kind of made sense. A stalker / potential kidnapper trying to obtain his victim. Then there is this part that makes no sense at all. “He reportedly became aggressive as they were driving, and the woman shot McLamb in self defense.”

WTF is really going on?

WTF is really going on?”

A sad commentary on the American School of Journalism. Henry Grady and Lewis Grizzard…weep. Flip side of that is Colonels Cooper, Colt, and Gun Bunny grin. Citizens fighting back.

A rather interesting concept on the MPP…and rather spendy, too.

Control of We, The People, not control of the gunz, is the goal. “They” would not be wanting to take the gunz if “they” were not planning on doing things that would make us want to shoot “them”.

Prepare.

I don’t know, but every time I go to Walmart I want to shoot everyone I see.
