Carson County TX cops perform canine intercourse

| August 3, 2023

Yeah, I think it may be safely said they screwed the pooch.

Should have been a routine incident – a hypolycemic girl at the White Deer rodeo Saturday night had an “incident ” and needed medical assistance.  Fortunately, the cops who showed up all were medical experts able to handle the situation coolly and calmly, and were able to assess the status of those trying to help her instantly (and find them wanting.)

In a Facebook post, Linda Dianne Shouse, a home healthcare and traveling nurse, said her 15-year-old relative was “seizing due to possible hypoglycemia” Saturday night at the White Deer rodeo, about 45 miles northeast of Amarillo, Texas.

“We were just waiting for EMS to get there. The police came up, the deputies, highway patrol, and everyone was just screaming, ‘Get back, get back, get back,’” she said during an interview.

Shouse said she was pushed back and then punched in the chest by a woman and said she saw a law enforcement official screaming in Jackson’s face, telling him to “Get the f**k back.”

“He was trying to tell them that he was a doctor and probably trying to tell him who he was, to be honest. And they were screaming that they did not effing care who he was,” she said. “And the next thing I knew, they had him on the ground, grabbed him by the shirt, threw him on the ground, face first into the concrete and had him in cuffs.”

CNN

Yeah, possibly not a real smart move… especially when the ‘Jackson’ referred to is a doctor. Oh, and a retired admiral. Did I mention the former White House physician? Or possibly that Rep. Ronny Jackson is their local Congressman?

According to the Texas Tribune, Carson County Sheriff Tam Terry said in a statement that one person was “temporarily detained” at the rodeo on Saturday night and his department was “reviewing the incident.”

Yeah, I’d like to be a fly on the wall for THAT review. Cuffing the Congressman?  I remember a police captain I worked for whose preferred punishment was a daily rotating shift. One night, followed by one evening, followed by one day – every shift 8 hours apart. Kind of like heel and toe watches with squad cars.

Sounds like a come to Jesus discussion with all involved and their commanders. Since county and local officers were involved, their respective head of city and county officials as well. Bring in equivalent state people too.

The Congressman will be the final decider if the punishment fits the offense, and do not allow them to say we will look into this matter. The matter should have been looked into before said meeting.

I’m not a defund the police guy, but it isn’t like they were going into an active shooter situation or a bank robbery. Just a bit of police power over reach.

Maybe sandwich boards for all, in a very public place, 12 hr shift that reads “I’m an idiot” would be a start with remedial public relations and situational awareness training. To really make it stick, 30 day suspension without pay.

Or, just publicly flog them. Either or.

STSC(SW/SS)

I don’t think a general ass chewing is going to clear this mess.

If they still have their job they can count patrolling the remotest part of the county at night for the next month.

Odie

Shit details until we run out of shit details, then we start over.

SFC D

It was Farva.

timactual

I wonder if they pay actors extra for roles like “Farva”; like hardship or hazardous duty pay.

MIRanger

While the others have their opions on how to “punish” the LEOs that probably did not follow policy, and more than likely failed to remmeber all the situational awareness, first aide, and public interaction classes they took…what is that you are saying?…they did not have any public interaction classes?…

Well, maybe they need to have a 30 day no pay suspension where they attend classes on public interaction, civilian outreach, first aid (clearly they forgot all the stuff at the beginning of the class like…when a trained professional arrives assist them and listen to their instructions!!!) and maybe have some of those crowd control and de-escalation classes again!!!

Remember, local politicians/bureaucrats (who think drag queen shows and freaky sex lessons sre good for your kids in school) have wanted local law enforcement to be rote buttheads like this over a generation now for a reason:

Arkabsas cop use “pit” maneuver to stop car obviously racing to hospital– don’t kid yourself folks, it’s all about control. (Who do you think will go door-to-door “just doing their job” taking guns for a pension and benefits?)

“obviously racing to hospital”

“obviously” my left buttock. There is no way the police could have known anything about the occupants, their state of sobriety, or their past or future activities.

“…the car topped 100 miles/hr…”

What the police did know was that that car was a danger to everyone on the road, including the occupants of the car.

Good work by the police on this one.

Anonymous

She had her emergency flashers on and wasn’t going that fast when he “pit”-ed her. Cops use force first and ask questions later nowadays– that scares me when they’re wielded by progressives.

Another asinine take. Your lazy ass low information meme equating LEFT=SOCIALIST=POLICE STATE is bullshit..

The left has been in the god damn streets opposing police tactics, aggression, violence, and extrajudicial killing for decades.

And it was a major political issue for the last three presidential election cycles.

The left is far more staunchly in opposition of law enforcement use of force and the current training, standards, and lack of effective accountability of law enforcement.

The left has been staunchly advocating Len enforcement reform, accountability, higher training standards, higher qualification standards, and reducing the role of law enforcement in non criminal social issues.

And all the social democracies have better law enforcement standards and far less of the aggressive authoritarian incompetence rampant in many US law enforcement agencies.

SFC D

Greetings, ANTIFA medic. The left has been in the god damn streets burning, looting and pillaging neighborhoods in order to protest police brutality. That’s a little bit like fucking to preserve virginity, is it not? The left is fighting crime by defunding police departments, appointing prosecutors that don’t prosecute crimes, and electing mayors that are more concerned with woke than safe. You live in one of those leftist utopias, you and your fellow travelers are prisoners in a cell you created. You’re a fraud, believing your own lies. And yet you have the balls to call the people here “cultists”. Sad little man.

Looks like your not going to get 159 comments today like yesterday. for a Conservative like yourself who likes to get things going using that socialist Shtik, It’s okay and I get a kick out of it.

Roh-Dog

Gimpissar just upset that zhe is too old to run a truncheon effectively.

Clearly with the gloating zers done here, the proximity to violence still gets zerp’s blood flowing in their genitals.

Green Thumb

I do not think this is about socialism and injustice. It’s more about common sense. And as you well know, I have a tendency to “lean blue” on some things as I do not march in lockstep with the “red” side of the house on every issue. I am a little more educated that that.

To do so would be yet another blind follower below the proverbial information line. Not much worse that the socialist Left, if you ask me.

That aside, the guy was a MD.

He was trying to help.

The cops got it wrong. Probably a bunch of redneck, local, low-level, uneducated country / county boys (and I came from that from that background) for sure, but they got it wrong.

Hopefully the girl is OK. That is the important thing here.

SFC D

An excellent example of your leftist protests. These are your people. You support them.

Leftists happily want to make Antifa the national “people’s militia” (or BLM or whomever is “woke” enough) after the defunded “racist” local cops can’t keep stuff together. “Out of chaos comes order” is an old ploy. Paranoid? Watch Democrats call for a “national police force” or so… they will.

“Watch Democrats call for a ‘national police force” again.

Leftist states demonstrate that quite well. Ask anyone who grew up in eastern Europe.

Fyrfighter

Leftist only protest the cops they don’t control… they’re very in favor of the Stasi, Gestapo, Mao’s Red Guard, and the list goes on.. as many others have stated here, you are a fraud Commissar…

I read the story yesterday and came to the conclusion that these cops are a bunch of A-Holes.

I read the story here and then had to read it again after reading the
comments before I realized it was not about a K-9.

Maybe instead of roughing up and cuffing Kongress Kritters that are trying to help citizens, these popo should be roughing up and cuffing Kongress Kritters that need to be roughed up and cuffed. They can start with Screeching Jackson Lee.

Dumbasses!

I bet that’s one night they’d like to have a do over on. At least no one was seriously hurt. But it’s a special night when you’re yelling profanity at a crowd and cuffing up ER docs. Some people are going to need some retraining.

SFC D

Retraining in a job that requires no public interaction or weapons. I’m thinking the county landfill could use their particular skill set.

Roh-Dog

Wait, in or on?

These turds deserve the stocks at the very least.

Make Public Humiliation Great Again!

SFC D

It’s a win either way.

Odie

Yeah. What’s a few more rats at the landfill.

5JC

Honestly will be surprised if anybody gets fired. It will somewhat depend upon the amount of the lawsuit and how well the sheriff can smooth things over.

The thing is the deputies don’t appear to have done anything illegal and nobody got hurt. Stupid to a factor of 10? Yes. Probably even higher than that.

In 2020, Sheriff Tam Terry endorsed Josh Winegarner for U.S. Congress in the GOP Primary Runoff:

That same year, Winegarner was defeated by Ronny Jackson… 😉 😎

Interesting…

I’m firmly on the side of law enforcement and have been vocal about my consideration of pursuing some form of continued service with a local agency. Now that I’m comfortably in a higher paying and far less demanding retail job, it might be volunteering as a Reservist, or who knows, maybe I’ll still be typing away frantically in a few years about woulda, coulda, shoulda…

With that said, we all know that there are good cops, bad cops, and cops just looking to get their paycheck and go home to their families. What do I mean? There are those who go through the academy and field training in hopes of genuinely making a positive contribution to their community. Let’s call them the Adam-12 sorts. The show was a bit before my time, but being an old soul, I thoroughly love it, Emergency, Rockford Files, and other older shows, hell, even McCloud. Then there are the cops who hide behind their badges, thinking that because they’re authorized to carry a gun nearly anywhere and (think they) have the backing of their department, they are the Judge Dredd of LEOs. What they say goes, and “enforcement” is in the eyes of the beholder. Let’s look at them in the same light as the Rampart Division of LAPD, as dramatized in Training Day and Grand Theft Auto III. Finally, you have what I suspect many of us were as Service Members: men and women who took an oath, wore a uniform, and wanted to serve well, but at the end of the day considered it a job and/or career that few qualify for and fewer want.

These cops lacked the situational awareness to realize that they were exacerbating the problem, and the self-awareness to realize that they were overstepping their bounds as LEOs. “I wear the badge, I have the cuffs, and you will listen to me, peon.” Damned shame. Notes made, though, if I ever have the honor of serving as a cop or deputy.

5JC

I think you are correct. Very likely was lack situational awareness and the desire to “control the scene”. A lot of agencies at large departments have backed away from always trying to be in control until they have a more complete grasp of what is going on. It really depends upon properly analyzing the threat to the officers and to the public. Here there was no such threat.

They now recognize that it’s too easy to get led down a path that will result in physical conflict which sometimes is what the person in contact wants.

Expecting virtue, we got this:

ANCRN

I’d be willing to bet this isn’t their first time flexing their authority beyond its limits. But It’s the first time it made the news. The chuefs should tell them “Turn in your badge and your gun, and go walk in public without the protection they brought you. “

Blaster

I wonder if the LEOs would have done the same thing if the medical pros were performing CPR, and stopping them/holding them back resulted in a death?
