The injured victim was hospitalized, no further word on his condition. No further word on the suspect either, but none is really necessary. Thanks for the three-peat, Gun Bunny.

That is not an original unmodified S&W Schofield, as it only has a 5 1/2″ barrel. Those issued to the Army had 7 1/2 inch barrels. After they were sold as surplus, Well Fargo bought a great many for their agents, but had the barrels shortened.
Today is a three-peat “D”s.

Are the baddies getting smarter? (HA!)
Does the DeMSM report self defense stories less often? (possible)
Well done, Gun Bunny, in digging up what was available.
And well done to all the citizens (vice “serfs”)
who took it upon themselves to defend life and property against the predators of society.
Think of all the money saved since there won’t be any trials or incarcerations.

Tanks, Tox! Sometimes the struggle is reelz, between suppression of self defense stories and paywalls…well…you know. A trifecta is always a good thing, ‘specially when you gots DRTs, but 2 out of 3 ain’t bad. I do try to keep a weather eye out for follow ups on the WRTs to see if the WRT has achieved room temperature. Ya gotta dig REAL deep and get REAL lucky to find those.
Lubs me that Schofield Top Break. I am in violation of one of His Commandments in that I Covet one. What little TeeVee I watch is generally Old School Westerns and make myself a little trivia game out of matching the weapons they use to the time period it’s supposed to be in. In most cases, Hollywierd fails miserably in that aspect.
The only problem with those Schofield top breaks is that if you want to enjoy shooting them, you have to seriously “roll your own” – most likely cut down your own brass to begin with.
No, .45 Schofield ammo and brass is readily available because of the CAS hobby. Many CAS shooters are shooting Schofield replicas. S&W even made some very pricey ones for a few years. I have several boxes of that ammo loaded by one of my CAS pards. Also, Black Hills Co. manufactures it.
Starline occasionally makes batches of .45S&W.
You must be a CAS shooter. You seem to be the only one commenting here with knowledge of this shooting genre. All the brass my buddy reloaded is Starline.
They assume everyone from 1830 on carried guns introduced in 1873.
I have a Road (town)?
And in the PDRoM, of all places?
I disavow any and all knowledge and ownership of said Road. GAK!
