Marine veteran places Jordan Neely in chokehold, Kathy Hochul wants justice
Jordan Neely allegedly behaved erratically on a train to include throwing garbage at a fellow passenger. a Marine veteran, 24, subsequently placed Neely in a chokehold. A couple of other passengers assisted by holding Neely’s arms down and pinning his shoulders. Neely subsequently died in what the medical examiner determined was a homicide. New York Governer, Kathy Hochul, commented on the incident, calling for justice and describing the incident as horrific. She further commented about how this individual was killed for being a passenger.
From Fox News:
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul called for justice in the case of a Marine veteran accused of putting a homeless man in a chokehold on a New York City subway train just before he died.
Hochul commented on the death of Jordan Neely, a Michael Jackson impersonator with a long criminal history, this week, saying his family deserved justice in the subway killing.
“I do want to acknowledge how horrific it was to view a video of Jordan Neely being killed for being a passenger on our subway trains,” Hochul told reporters Thursday. “I’m really pleased that the district attorney is looking into this matter. As I said, there had to be consequences, and so we’ll see how this unfolds.”
“But his family deserves justice,” she added.
The medical examiner has ruled Neely’s death a homicide. The deadly incident unfolded around 2:30 p.m. Monday as Neely began acting erratic on a train. He allegedly threw garbage at a passenger.
A 24-year-old Marine veteran, who has not been identified, put Neely in a chokehold for about 15 minutes. Two other passengers restrained Neely by holding his arms down and pinning his shoulders on the floor.
During the chaos, Neely lost consciousness. EMTs arrived to revive him, but he was taken to a hospital and declared dead soon after. Neely reportedly complained about being thirsty and hungry and a passenger told the New York Post that while Neely was screaming aggressively, he did not physically attack anyone.

To hell with the citizens of New York who had it good and were safe before Crooked Bill DiBlasio and Phony Beat Cop Eric Adams came along. Protection? You don’t deserve it!!
The people are fed up — this is only the beginning.
“The medical examiner has ruled Neely’s death a homicide”
Cough cough.
That’s the same sound neely made before he didn’t anymore.
Homicide merely means he died at the hands of another person. It neither implies or states the death was criminal in nature or even unjustified.
We are talking about a black man dying at the hands of a white man. So while what you say is true, it won’t be seen, portrayed or reported as such.
In NYC, it will be criminal in nature and wholly unjustified.
You and I, as well as the rest of us, know how this is going to play out.
Was wandering when this was going to hit TAH. The vid is kinda hard to watch. Think the young Devil might be in a bit of a pickle when this shakes out. This he’s still IRR. Post has a good article on it, more info on the Marine. https://nypost.com/2023/05/05/marine-who-put-jordan-neely-in-chokehold-identified-as-daniel-penny/
Fuck NYC! Fuck NY State!
I worked in The City for 7 years and left.
If you’re still there that is your own fault.
Oh, Madam Governor, after 30 something arrests he should be off the streets don’t cha think?
NYPD ain’t protecting anybody anymore, so the citizens gotta do it themselves. Who would have thought New Yorkers would long for salad days of Cuomo?
Or Juliani, when that city was dangerously close to functioning properly.
Bratton as Police Commissioner helped too.
When Rudy was mayor the city went from over 2000 murders a year to just over 500, a 75% drop. It was the largest drop of any major US city.
I was there from ’89 to ’96. While crime was REALLY BAD then, it was limitesd to certain areas. Rudy beat Dinkins in ’93 and things started to get better. I really hated cold weather, so me and the wife moved to The Free State of Floirda.
There’s a reason my family moved out to Suffolk County on the Island in the ’50s.
Crazy assaultive homeless person had a rap sheet longer than Marion Barry, Jesse Jackson Jr (and spouse), Ray Nagin and Darren Burrell combined.
Hell, I’m impressed!
Who gives a flying fuck about NYC or the state, in general?
You get the government you deserve. New York has been circling the drain for years. It’ll be a pleasure to watch it finally disappear down the shitter.
The Marine has already been DOXED, and BLM/ANTIFA is bringing is gas cans, gonna get spicy.
Said Marine may want to move to a “Stand Your Ground” state.
Time a city wide CODE RED?
for
Nah, fuck it, not worth the effort. There’s no saving New York.
HuMMMMm?
Blow the bridges and flood the tunnels, air drop rusty blade weapons, live stream the results.
Looks like a job for the Engineers…oh where, oh where can we find someone to take on this challenging, but ultimately satisfying, task? And before any of you wise guys start, yes, the local pub sitting in front of a tall Yuengling would probably be a good place to look. 🍺🧨⚙️💣
Neely isn’t thirst, and hungry anymore. Seems like an effective solution to a problem.
I listened to Dan Bongino explain the judo hold which isn’t really a choke hold but in the fight world it is called a choke hold. It’s a caratted artery hold that Dan says he has been through many times. Says that the perp on the deck kept moving his legs which the Marine kept the pressure up. Perp was threating the passengers on the train and the Marine took action to try and stop the threat. Dan watched the video and explained everything to his/her radio listeners.
Make being a crazed homeless dude on the subway great again! /sarc
Guy was hopped up on SPICE, and it may have contributed to his death…
Regardless, my sympathy factor for this nut threatening and assaulting people (42 prior arrests the past decade?) on the train before his untimely demise is extremely low. Like, basically below zero
Perhaps the DAs who didn’t take the shitbird to trial for any of his 42 offenses should be charged. If they’d taken him trial on any of his felonies, perhaps he would still have been in prison, and not having foaming fits of rage on public conveyances?
Escape from New York had it right.
It’s not too late to wall it off
