Ukraine to receive $325 million in military aid, includes HIMARS rounds

| April 20, 2023

Team Joe Biden announced $325 million worth of military aid for Ukraine as it continues to wage war against the Russian invaders. This new wave of military aid includes High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) rounds, anti-tank mines, and advanced missiles. The $325 million brings the total aid to Ukraine up to $35.4 billion since the Russians invaded early last year.

From Reuters:

“This security assistance package includes more ammunition for U.S.-provided HIMARS and artillery rounds, as well as anti-armor systems, small arms, logistics support vehicles, and maintenance support essential to strengthening Ukraine’s defenders on the battlefield,” U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement.

HIMARS is a missile launcher mounted on a truck that can fire multiple guided missiles in quick succession. Missiles supplied to Ukraine have a range of up to 50 miles (80 km) and Ukrainian forces have had great success using them to target Russian positions.

“Russia could end its war today. Until Russia does, the United States and our allies and partners will stand united with Ukraine for as long as it takes,” said Blinken.

In addition to the HIMARS ammunition, the package includes artillery rounds; tube-launched, optically-tracked, wire-guided (TOW) missiles; anti-tank mines; port and harbor security equipment, and over 9 million rounds of small-arms ammunition, a Statement Department spokesperson said.

Sure it good to know that the tax monies I sent in the other day are going to defend our country. Oh…wait…never mind.

If the US cared about Liberty and inalienable Rights, shouldn’t we be sending ‘scary’ semiautomatic rifles to Washington state?

What is left standing of our house is on fire but we’re feathering the nests of dictators seven time zones away?

Hersh, despite his age, doesn’t seem to have lost a step. I’d say there is likely something to it. The fact that the left is ignoring it also is a good indicator of the canary in the coal mine.

Honestly I thought Hersh had died about 8 years ago. Seeing he has own website now, I subscribed immediately. He isn’t just a legend, he is literally the Godfather of American investigative journalism. He doesn’t always get all the details right but his guesses are more reliable than most other agency’s facts. If you can think of a major news story that brought down major public figures in the last 60 years he was likely the originator that brought out the story. A small sampling of shit he has stirred up over the years:

My Lai
Secret US Involvement in Cambodia
Secret US Involvement in revolt in Chile
Operation CHAOS
Numerous F’ups in Afghanistan
Abu Ghraib

He often gets stuff wrong too though, but he makes a good jumping off point for plausible speculation and tends to go after everyone, rather than just left or right.

Your accounting is atrocious. 115$ billion in accounts to be spent for Ukraine…so far. I really loved the news from Nigeria about getting the weapons supposed to be for the Ukraine. Really set’s the whole tone of corruption go round in eastern Europe and Asia,,,and Africa. b-dump bump bump. Couldn’t see this coming from years off. https://usafacts.org/articles/how-much-money-has-the-us-given-ukraine-since-russias-invasion/
