Iran demands that the U.S. leave the Middle East
Iran recently held it’s Army Day activities which included a military parade showing off what military toys that the Iranian military has. As aircraft flew overhead, Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi, provided the usual anti-Israel, anti-West rants. Raisi warned the U.S. that if it did not leave the Middle East, that it would share Isarel’s fate.
From Breitbart:
Speaking at the ceremony, Raisi continued a long tradition of threatening Israel with destruction.
“Enemies, particularly the Zionist regime, has receive the message that any tiny action against (our) country will prompt a harsh answer from the armed forces, which will accompany the destruction of Haifa and Tel Aviv,” Raisi said.
Raisi also reiterated a long-standing demand for the U.S. to leave the Middle East or face the same fate as Israel.

American policy since the Carter administration has viewed protection of the Persian Gulf region as crucial to securing global energy supplies.
A fifth of the world’s supply of oil passes through the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow mouth of the Persian Gulf.
Iran has previously warned the U.S. its vessels must be prepared to be attacked, with IRGC commander Hossein Salami making dire threats of retribution against warships that defy his speedboats.
The practise is known as “swarming” and depends upon multiple Iran speedboats attacking a single target in the hope of overwhelming the defenses.
Breitbart has more on the article, to include tweets and video, here.
Hey, we agree! Should have left long ago.
The last years of the Shah were entertaining with Jimmah
tossing him under the bus. They kept his cancer diagnosis from him for Gods sake. The man suffered greatly albeit just.
Then the Ayatolla took over.
Yeah, long ago
Unfortunately, it wasn’t the Ayatolla of Rock n Roll-a
Tehran television used to broadcast the Iranian national anthem w/ a portrait of the Shah every night at 5 or 6 pm. That stopped around maybe November 1978. Also, around the same time American programming stopped being shown. No Hanna Barbera cartoons, Six Million Dollar Man, Rockford Files, etc. Seemingly the only thing being shown was Muslim prayers. What is this?! There was serious belly aching on my school bus every morning. 44+ years ago – how time has flown.
It must be Wednesday.
Was this the messenger?
Sliced.
Diced.
The ring identifier was nice.
That was a big rock.
But a small coffin
Ha!
I find it interesting that the UK, with its teeny tiny little military, is still included in their flaccid saber rattling screed.
Yes but they can be real dicks. The UK strategy for 300 years was to find whoever was most suppressed and then be on their team. Give them guns training whatever they needed. Set up a puppet state and collect cash.
Not a bad strategy, but they almost certainly cannot pull that off today.
Some people hold a grudge. Gotta get some payback for those nasty Crusaders, ya know.
“Enemies, particularly the Zionist regime, has receive the message that any
tiny“harsh” action against (our) country will prompt aharsh“tiny” answer from the armed forces,……”There. Fixed it for ya. Yer welcome.
18 APRIL 1988 – OPERATION PRAYING MANTIS
18 APRIL 2023 – Iranians ought to remember what happened to their navy on the same date 35 years ago.
(Just my .02 cents)
Activate Don Shippley, 3-2-1
While probably enduring public excoriation, whatever country displaying the cojones to turn Iran and North Korea into parking lots would probably generate worldwide sighs of relief. Truly international mad dogs.
Am wondering if any of those Tin Cans out their have those lasers able to knock out drones and small craft
I can remember back when the last small boat threat surfaced several decades ago, the Navy rediscovered the joy that was the M-2 .50 cal machine gun, and they started festooning their ships with them. With API, and tracers, those boghammers would not fare well.
Feel free to steal…
HI Bitches….
Yes I’m back and yes I have catching up to do.
I’m up to 4/7 threads. I’ll get there.Hold your panties.
Yawn! Them mofos are just pissed cause they didn’t have the day I did. Escorted sweet smelling ladies on some errands, ogled other sweet smelling, Spring Time Dressed, Ms Thangs. Had me a real nice meal of pulled porked beast BBQ, with sides of BBQed Beef Beast Brisket, tatered tots, baked beans with ham, and the house wine…Sweet Iced Tea. Fixin’ to have me a nice, cold, frosty Yuengling.
We been watching this rerun movie for 43 years now. Time to get to the ending.
Why should they remember April 18, 1988 when they can remember April 24 and Desert One.
Eight warriors died because the plan was cr@p as was the leadership that pushed it.
IIRC, Dhimmi Carter and an Air Force general were in charge.
I think one of the problems was too many people in charge. 1980, after the “peace dividend” had been in effect for a few years. An ambitious and complex plan hampered by lack of resources (including enough appropriate helicopters), relatively inexperienced personnel; one of the first “joint” operations with all the inherent drawbacks, and a ration of bad luck.
And, in my opinion, too much subtlety and restraint.
There was a rework of NCA after that. It has been written on and discussed often.
Jimmy Carter will be 99 this year if he makes it to October. Harold Brown and Cyrus Vance are both dead.
The only good that came out of it was it guaranteed Carter be a one term chump and we ended with Reagan for eight years. Reagan ended the Cold War and fixed a lot of the Carter damages.
Only for some old and plenty of new problems to be (re)instated by Obama and Biden.
Thanks to Jackoff Jimmah Carter for that. The service heads all agreed and implored that inbred moron to use one service or the other, not everyone. But Jimmah wanted to make it a public relations opportunity for all the services, rather than a sensible combat operation. I was talking at the time to some of the Marines who provided the helos, and they had been told to take the aircraft they didn’t care about, because those helos would most likely not be coming back.
At least we are sending more money to Ukraine?
The practise is known as “swarming” and depends upon multiple Iran speedboats attacking a single target in the hope of overwhelming the defenses.
“Hope?”
Like how you hope your 3rd rate navy won’t be sunk again by the US Navy. Even though our Navy has plenty of it’s own problems (which I don’t care to name) to deal with, I’d still put money down on them blowing your shitty navy to pieces. And if it’s not us who will do the honors, it’ll be someone else who likes to purchase Saudi oil.
Dream scenario: Iran launches rockets, Israel misidentifies them as nukes, and hammers all IRGC targets, and a liberalization of Iranian society occurs with a new capital outside the sheet of smoking glass formerly known as Tehran.
Wet dream.
Not as much as you would think. the Israelis have gone into Iran I believe twice to hit strategic targets, and they don’t muck about when doing it. They did it to Iraq once or twice too.
“American policy since the Carter administration has viewed protection of the Persian Gulf region as crucial to securing global energy supplies.’
Oh, dear. They were not supposed to say that out loud.
ohnos! quick, get the uniparty to triple mossad’s funding.
The only way to solve this is to throw money at it…
or leave.
By the actions of the players’ in them parts, they have better dicks to squeeze.
One of our biggest problems as a nation is our belief we can talk to everyone and resolve our problems with diplomacy instead of recognizing that certain enemies can never be convinced that violence will not achieve their own nation’s goals in dealing with us.
I have always believed in the Soviet approach.
There are few countries who like, let alone love, the US. Far better they should piss themselves in fear of us. Then they will leave us alone. And if we say we will hammer someone, we hammer them mercilessly. But that would take a level of courage, tenacity, and moral fiber this country sorely lacks, particularly when socialist democrats are in any sort of control.
If we just drilled our own oil and natural gas, we could write off the Mideast, support Israel and bankrupt russia
IRGC Commander Salami? Does he work at Subway?
Dude got a unit vacancy promotion. He needs to remember WHY he got a unit vacancy promotion.
Maybe he should go visit the Suleimani Memorial Crater in Baghdad
