Two men who fired into crowd outside Detroit bar shot by security guard

DETROIT (FOX 2) – Suspects were firing shots into a crowd outside a Detroit bar when a security guard returned fire, striking two men.The gunshots were fired near the Views Bar and Grille on the city’s west side near Telegraph early Wednesday morning.
Police said there was a fight inside the bar and the people fighting were removed. Security said they heard the suspects say something about “airing the place out” before they got into a Jeep and the guard saw a muzzle flash around 1:40 a.m.
The security guard, who is a reserve police officer in Highland Park, returned fire at the Jeep with his personal weapon, hitting two men.

Man shot by truck owner while trying to steal vehicle outside Fort Worth store, police say

man was shot outside of a store in Fort Worth on Wednesday after he tried to steal a woman’s truck with a passenger inside, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.On Wednesday at about 5:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the 4700 block of Benbrook Highway about a robbery.
A man was acting suspiciously inside a local business, according to police.
He was told to leave by an employee and went outside. The man got into a customer’s pickup truck that had the engine on. An adult passenger was sitting in the back of the vehicle, police told the Star-Telegram.
The passenger asked him what he was doing and the man stated he was going to take the truck, according to police.
When the owner of the vehicle saw the man inside her truck — who was attempting to put it in gear — she shot him, hitting him in the arm, police said.

I do like shooting the specimen Dad liberated from a German artillery officer. After the Colt .22 6-shooter Dad taught us on, it was the first full-sized pistol Dad used to train us firearm safety and handling.
With a loaded chamber indicator, a hammer-drop safety, a DA/SA trigger, it was ahead of its time in features most folks take for granted today.
That vaunted “German Engineered” died a few years back, didn’t it? Wingwiper older brother has the one that our Pop “liberated”. It sat in my Aunt Johnnie’s Trunk, untouched, from 1946 until she passed away in 2015. Pistol, holster, belt, cartridge box. We didn’t even let oldest brother know about the piece. It’s safer where it is.

Factory loads only. Tried to shoot a hand-load, apparently too hot, cracked one side of the slide (open style, similar to the Beretta M9/92FS).
Took me awhile to find a replacement.
