Well, for the good news. A California district judge, Cormac Carney (this is not the same judge who blocked California’s magazine ban, by the way) , blocked their new handgun “safety” regulation.

The 2001 law, known as the Unsafe Handgun Act, requires new semiautomatic handguns to have an indicator showing when there is a round in the chamber and a mechanism to prevent firing when the magazine is not fully inserted, both meant to prevent accidental discharge. It also requires that they stamp a serial number onto bullets they fire, known as microstamping.

A previous challenge to the law was rejected by the San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in 2018.

Loaded chamber indicators are nothing new, and many semi-autos have them. Chamber a round, and if the extractor protrudes a bit so you can feel it? You have one. The magazine disconnect? That dates to the original French Army requirement which led to the HiPower – the argument goes that if someone is trying to grab the gun, dropping the magazine makes the gun inoperable if they get it. (Me, I don’t like ’em – if I have a gun with no magazine disconnect, I can fire one more round than the guy who has one.) But that last bit – microstamping – is technology which doesn’t exist. Now, they may mean to say “serial number onto the cartridge case as they fire” which has been tried – with less than 100% success – but no matter what, they are mandating  a feature set which doesn’t exist. May as well require that your light sabre be green, right? Kudos for the judge on his decision.

The circus is back. Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey has announced a 2023 tour featuring high-wire, trampoline, etc. acts with no animals involved.  PETA is thrilled. Wonder if they should change the name to reflect their animal-free show…Hint: Cirque du Soleil is already taken.

Houston County, Georgia reputedly spent $1,2000,000 to try and avoid spending $25,000 on a deputy’s sex-change gender-affirmation surgery. I’m not going into all the details of how several jusrisdictions exclude various kinds of elective surgery, just though that knowing that little $25K factoid might be of interest for all of you deplorables who want to know. Telegraph

Ironically, a recent op-ed in the same Telegraph cited “America’s Trans Insanity, citing:

Minnesota’s Democratic Lieutenant Governor has given full-throated support for an executive order aimed at protecting access to “gender affirming care” such as sex changes and puberty blockers. “When our children tell us who they are”, she said, “it is our job as grown-ups to listen and to believe them. That’s what it means to be a good parent”.

The author goes on to point out that no, being a good parent does not mean yielding to your kid’s every immature impulse, it is to protect them from making stupid decisions like cutting off body parts. At least untill they are older, at which time as far as I am concerned they can surgically turn themselves into Wookies – as long as I don’t have to pay for it.

If a grown adult wants to have their breeding equipment removed I’m in favor. But only an idiot would think that a kid who hasn’t gone through puberty yet has gender issues.

A Calli Judge put the Good Idea Fairy back into its box? DAYUM!

Animals need to be in their proper place…on a plate between the taters and butter peas.

A young’un can’t decide what they want for a snack, much less making a life changing “change”. Like others, IDGAF what an adult wants to do to their God given equipment…just don’t make me pay for it. And as the song goes…”leave those kids alone…”

Glock’s latest model pictured?

I thought I was a hippie until I found my self at Ft. Knox in a cattle cart heading to C-18-4.

Micro-stamping requirements are just to increase the cost of a firearm.

Even if you could accurately micro laze a serial number, ablation by use or intently destroyification would render them moot in four, maybe four-and-a-half minutes.

Not to mention this will probably only cover firearms, not components. 3D printers and a bunch of standardized parts kits (like roll-your-own glocks) will fulfill the markets needs……… and the crims will probably throw in the auto sears for free.

Prohibition just makes the object more dangerousnessly. Prove me wrong.

Well, if the po-po find the guns lost in a boating accident, someone is doing it wrong.

You should have seen the comments aimed at the LT GOV of Minnesota after she made her stupid pronouncement.
About 90% told her to “STAY AWAY FROM OUR CHILDREN!”. A goodly number urged her to resign. Some others urged her to do things to herself that could only be done by a very acrobatic Gibbon.
She and Tim Walz (our current Goober) are deluded in thinking they are the most popular team in Minnesota history. The simple fact of the matter is, the Twin Cities are where their votes are…the rest of the state hates their guts.
