Man fatally shot by L.A. County sheriff’s deputy in Maywood

A Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a man Thursday morning in Maywood, authorities said.The shooting was called in around 5:45 a.m. in the 6100 block of Clarkson Avenue, according to authorities. The victim was “struck by gunfire and pronounced deceased on the scene,” the Sheriff’s Department said.
Local residents told KTTV Channel 11 that the shooting took place where a man with mental health issues had been living on his parents’ porch. The porch was even equipped with a bed and TV, according to the station.

Living on your parents porch is a step up to living in a van down by the river.
A step up from living underneath their porch and probably after for the other folks down by the rivers. Could depend on which river, too.

This why you should not feed feral children, the become dependent upon the homeowner for food and shelter. Did the parents at least do the right thing and have him neutered to prevent wild children from roaming the neighborhood?
One less nutjob. Pity it had to end that way. Sketchy details, but it seems as if porch boy hada followed the instructions of Officers Friendly, he would not have ended up DRT. I’m sometimes hesitant to submit these types of lack of detail stories, but the pickens’ were real slim yesterday…across all of the news feeds.
I must not be an ordinary American, being as I care very much about my Constitutional Rights. So much so that I took an Oath to defend those Rights against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Seems now we have more to be concerned with domestic enemies v foreign ones. I have yet to revoke that Oath.

IMHO, the Bleeding Hearts Club aka (D)emon-rats, in their move to close down involuntary commitment of the mentally ill has lead to more pain, suffering, and death than they suffered even with the very real abuses of the old system.
My heart goes out to the parents. I suspect their son had an issue with being indoors, and they took care of him as best they could.
I’m still uncertain about the 5.7 – especially after the ammo shortages we’ve seen.
