Sixty-eight percent of active-duty service members see growing politicization of U.S. military

| January 13, 2023

The majority of those on active duty are seeing an increased politicization in the U.S. Military. Critical Race Theory and other politically correct initiatives are being pushed towards the ranks. Instead of focusing as much time as possible on making the military more lethal against the enemies, things like lowering standards for equity purposes, removing obstacles for transgenders, and climate change appeared to be influencing military policies related to the troops.

From Breitbart:

“The Pentagon should be focused on winning America’s future wars rather than prioritizing divisive programs and issues,” Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL), who chaired the panel, said. “The Pentagon should be focused on how best to counter our global adversaries like China and recruiting the best and brightest to our ranks.”

Changing policy allowing unrestricted service of transgender-identifying persons appears to be a major sticking point for active duty military, with 80 percent reporting that the changes have decreased their trust in the military.

Equity-based initiatives like lowering physical fitness standards are also of great concern for active duty, as 70 percent saying the reduction of such standards to “even the playing field” lowers their trust in the institution.

The new focus on “climate change as a top national security threat” has also lost the trust of 70 percent of active duty military.

Sixty-nine percent said the inclusion of critical race theory books on the reading list for the Chief of Naval Operations was concerning, while 68 percent said they were concerned about reports of sexual assault.

When broken down by top-selected areas of concern, the highest ranking were an “over emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives,” the reduction of fitness standards, and the military funding abortions.

“It’s more clear than ever that Americans are losing faith in what should be America’s most trusted institution and the current recruitment crisis facing our military is evidence of that,” Waltz said.

According to Heritage Executive Vice President Derrick Morgan, 2022 “was the worst year for recruiting since the advent of the all-volunteer force, and 2023 is shaping up to be as bad or worse.”

“These alarming poll results confirm what many have long suspected,” panel member and First Liberty Institute director of Military Affairs and senior counsel Mike Berry said. “Our military is further adrift than ever and risks becoming completely unmoored from its national security role.”

“This poll is another warning shot to policymakers that we are failing our troops by allowing political activism to deprive them of the focus and high training standards they deserve to fight and win,” Hudson Institute senior fellow and panel member Rebecca Heinrichs said.

Breitbart has the rest of the story.

Anyone else wondering when he is coming out?

It’s “equity” if we’re all NMC, comrade! (Our future Chinese overlords surely will reward us for our “woke”-ness or something… )

Wow…never thought I’d see the day when I agree with the Chi-coms on anything.

Some good news. Fat turd Milley retires later this year. Yeah, don’t let the door hit your fat ass. Don’t worry for this cock breath. 4 stars don’t bother w/ resumes. Multi-million-dollar consulting & corporate board positions await him on a silver platter. The appointment of this perfumed prince as chairman is solely on Trump. 45 has a deep weakness for flattery, and Milley exploited this. Mattis recommended AF Gen Goldfein as chairman. Nope, Milley sucked cock better, and even swallowed.

Green Thumb

Hope he takes SMA “Ball Licker” Grinston with him.

Hate_me

Who is a more likely choice for the next SECDEF… Milley, or Grinston?

It’s not a job typically associated with enlisted men, but Grinston has the ethnic edge.

David

CSM Weimer from SOC already announced as Grinston replacement.

Hate_me

I was wondering as to who might replace Austin.

Milley and Grinston are both ring-knockers when it comes to sucking political dick.

I’m pretty sure it’s a class at the academy

Hack Stone

Cock Ring Knockees?

Hell, Helen Keller, Ray Charles, and Stevie Wonder could see this. The domestic enemies of our Republic may destroy the standing army, but they will still have to contend with the millions of armed Patriots that will be behind every blade of grass.

Blind people – the next group that needs to be allowed the right to serve.

Let’s hope asthmatics never develop a community.

This is the end of our country as we have known it. I’m not sure it’s even possible to stop the slide. I’ve always been a patriotic person and have always been hopeful that America would right itself, I’m no longer hopeful. We blame our leaders and yes they are largely corrupt, incompetent and possibly anti American but we have also changed as a society, we no longer value honesty and patriotism, we put ourselves above country and our elected representatives are a mirror of our society. In short we are reaping what we have sown. In short we have brought this on ourselves and we will suffer by our own actions. We have been committing slow suicide as a nation and the future looks pretty bleak.

I, too, share your fears that this great American experiment has been irrevocably contaminated… but it’s far from the first low-point in our history.

As far as our military goes, I doubt it’s ever been quite this bad and a TF Smith moment might, sadly, be the best thing that could happen in that regard.

…but we recovered from the laxity that followed WWII victory and the increasingly-politicized warfighting of Korea and Vietnam. The soldiery we had under AirLand Battle was probably the most professional and competent Army and Air Force the world’s ever known, and that was a direct result of young officers experiencing shit leadership/politicking during Vietnam.

It’s definitely possible to rise again from this current state of woke, virtue-signaling, self-serving, hypocritical culture

A Proud Infidel®™

I unfortunately concur with that as well as the theory of an Elder Warrior (Korea/Vietnam Vet) who said that NO decade in our Nation’s History damaged it societally as much as the 1960’s did, INHO that’s when the commies really got entranched.

Av8or33

This isn’t just socialism/ communism I hate that ideology passionately but we have jumped the shark into just plain bat shit crazy disfunction. At least the soviets believed in some kind of societal order and expected a standard of conduct, we are just degenerating into a melt down which if not corrected we will will end up a very violent and dangerous future. We have no compass anymore, we don’t expect honesty and ethical behavior, merit is racist and the races are being divided and pitted against each other. There is no right or wrong everything is grey and morally anything goes. We are just plain fucked up and the people in charge either don’t care or it’s intentional.

KoB

I’ll take intentional for $1,000.00 Alex.

Av8or33

Has to be, no one is that stupid

Hate_me

I disagree. Hanlon’s Razor still applies.

Av8or33

I honestly don’t know which possibility is scarier.

Hate_me

It’s all scary.

In this case, stupidity simply outweighs evil.

Intentional. “Out of chaos comes order” (their order) proggie left/libtards think, but they can’t do any sh*t for themselves any more unfortunately.

As a man of faith, I strongly believe in God’s mercy, but that does not mean that God is without judgment. I believe that we are in the last throes of God’s patience and that judgment will befall this nation at some point in the near future.

The question I have now is what all that judgment might entail. Limited or complete and utter destruction? Can the cancer be removed, or has it completely infected the entire body?

Personally, if I was a God fearing individual living from Los Angeles to Seattle, or DC to Boston, I’d move.

Yes, we are descending into a morass of deviants and criminals that we are all supposed to either tolerate or emulate. That is a formula for the destruction of a civilization.

All that hippy-dippy “woke” BS was meant by the Soviets to destabilize us during the Cold War– left/libtards forget it wasn’t meant to be healthy or constructive.

Only 68%? Were the other 32% the EO/DEI hacks?

Hack Stone

The other 32% we’re getting gender reassignment surgery.

Would be a higher percentage, but so many of us got out and retired over the past two years.
