Boomer’s Sunday
It’s time once again, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes, for Boomer’s Sunday, where I sort through the weekly offering of ‘toons and pick the best. Toons are provided by Boomer and AW1 Scott, with many others contributing.
Disclaimer: These toons are meant to amuse, entertain and inform, pretty much in that order. While I cull what I can, they are not specifically fact-checked, so expect a certain amount of artistic license.
Yeah, I’m overflowing with the milk of human kindness.
Enlist, they said. You can strike for a rating later, they said.
Or not.

Top shelf, again!
As usual, you make it hard to pick a favorite. I think I’m going to go with the prisoner swap one.
👍 good job joe.
Not exactly the art of the deal.
Well, Joe isn’t exactly Donald.
But don’t worry, Joe has our back 😏
meme for that.

If one is to “6uild 6ack 6etter”, first you must destroy…
Yup:
Some really great ones there, thanks.
In nearly every instance when the unvaccinated presented a link claiming the vaccinated were more likely to die, the link they used to support their arguments contained a source that actually contradicted their own argument. These folk gave me the reference that I needed to destroy their argument and to show reality.
During the pandemic, I found myself debating against both sides. The pro vaccination side, for dismissing effective methods for mitigating and treating COVID-19, and the antivax, for failing to review their references, or even to read beyond the lead that follows the headlines, thus arguing like leftists. Heck, arguing against the latter group is like arguing against flat earthers, and I’ve had my share of arguing against those folks.
So no. I still see the unvaccinated as being wrong in their arguments against the vaccines… I’m still here, I’m still kicking, and I’m still doing my predawn distance runs as a man in his 50s.
Pays your money and takes you point of reference. My take is an untested and unnecessary vaccine was forced on the public by draconian and unconstitutional means for two years.
Have you contracted Covid post-vax? Post-booster #n? Sorry, rhetorical question. On top of everything else, the vax doesn’t work.
I can’t believe I’m doing this, the vax *might* work. If you narrow the definition of ‘work’ to ‘lessening serious illness from the virus’ and don’t take into account duration of efficacy or side effects.
Unfortunately this is what happens when an ego-filled real estate tycoon gets duped into signing an emergency declaration executive order and we allow drug makers liability protection for a not-a-vaxxine mechanism that’s never made it out of trials.
We are here now. Half the population was willing to imprison, debank, steal the children of, and kill the unvaxed for choosing to have the science catch up to the soyience.
Never forget the tyranny of these people and how much force they were willing to use.
AW1Ed: Pays your money and takes you point of reference.
?
AW1Ed: My take is an untested and unnecessary vaccine was forced on the public by draconian and unconstitutional means for two years.
On the point of it being forced on people, you and I have an agreement. However, on the part of the vaccine being “unnecessary”, both experience and studies indicate otherwise.
AW1Ed: Have you contracted Covid post-vax? Post-booster #n? Sorry, rhetorical question.
I saw this vaccine the way I saw the flu shot… Mitigation rather than elimination of getting sick. The folks that got vaccinated when I did, who understood this concept, understood that they were improving their odds of mitigating COVID if they get it rather than never seeing it happen to them.
AW1Ed: On top of everything else, the vax doesn’t work.
It works. I know this from experience, which is consistent with the studies I’ve reviewed.
Excellent!
One quote worthy of a meme:
“You can put 100 blank ants and 100 red ants in a jar and they get along fine. If you pick up the jar and shake it the black ants will attack the red ants and the red ants attack the black ants. They were getting along fine until someone shook the jar , its not the black ants or red that caused the war , its who ever shook the jar. SO THE QUESTION IS , WHO IS SHAKING THE JAR ?”

OK, I have never seen anyone sad ‘on’ a horse. Recently ejected from one is a different story.
