The nonbinary Biden administration official facing up to five years in prison for allegedly stealing luggage in Minnesota now faces up to 10 years in prison for stealing another bag in Nevada, according to a police report obtained by Fox News Digital.
Samuel Brinton — who has served as the Energy Department’s (DOE) deputy assistant secretary for spent fuel and waste disposition since June — allegedly stole a suitcase with a total estimate worth of $3,670 on July 6 at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, according to a declaration filed by a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) detective on Wednesday. The bag contained jewelry valued at $1,700, clothing worth $850 and makeup valued at $500.
That this person is deeply disturbed is so obvious it beggars description. The Department of Energy (DoE) has placed him on leave after he was charged with the first felony theft. Calls for Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm to terminate his employment with the department since the original theft allegations have gone unanswered. Something completely unsurprising is a long history of abnormal behavior.

While this is a personal calamity for Brinton, the fallout faced by the LGBTQ+ community could have easily been avoided. The red flags regarding Brinton were overwhelming and obvious to all who cared to see them. Unfortunately, some of America’s top LGBTQ+ activists and organizations were willfully blind to Brinton’s shortcomings.
These organizations, such as the Trevor Project and the National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR), ignored clear warning signs and incontrovertible evidence because Brinton provided these groups with a seemingly perfect ex-gay survivor story to expose horrific conversion therapy practices and ideology.
While these advocates were well-intentioned, they took a shortcut, looked the other way, and elevated them without ever asking: Is Sam Brinton’s story too good to be true?
I read the entire article, so you don’t have to. Briefly he concocted a horrific saga of violent child abuse, a sadistic conversion therapist, suicide attempts, and finally being thrown from his house by his own parents. This tale is full of signs things aren’t as he claimed and is easily debunked. However, it took the first baggage theft to start to question his credibility.
He’s a bullshit artist who managed to hoodwink LGBTQ organization’s leadership as well as checking all the woke boxes for DoE employment. His theft fetish isn’t recent either, I’ll wager. I’d hate to be the psychologist to have a look under that hood.

Disregarding his/her/they sexual orientation, haven’t the people who approved this individual for the position considered that the preferred attire for the candidate would be a distraction to the employees of The Department of Energy? Every position that Hack Stone was employees in since retiring from the Marine Corps, which included DoD, DoJ, and DoE, has a policy for what was acceptable work attire.
And just how well did this individual perform in their position. It’s seems that he/she/they are more interested in drawing attention to themself than actually getting some work done. And since the taxpayers having been paying the salary, can we see what was accomplished during the brief time that he/she/they was not suspended? And why won’t the Biden – Harris Administration answer the question on whether the individual is still being paid?
