JR Majewski rides phony pony to defeat… Continue on into the sunset?

| November 9, 2022

We’ve posted blog articles about JR Majewski, the guy who tried to portray himself as some “bad a*” Afghanistan War Veteran. There were even speculations that he would unseat his opponent. His campaign subsequently got broadsided when Majewski received accusations of stolen valor. Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur was declared the winner.

From 13abc:

With almost all votes accounted for, Rep. Kaptur won 57% of the vote, and will become the longest-serving woman in the history of Congress.

She released the following statement after her win.

“Northwest Ohio is home to the hardworking folks who make, build, and grow America – and I am honored to continue serving them in Congress,” said Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur. “There has been too much division in our nation of late, and our focus must be on mending the fabric of our politics and our society. We are the United States of America – not the divided states of America. We are the red, white, and blue – not the red or blue. I pledge to be a voice and representative for all the people – Republicans, Democrats, and none of the above. I will be a fighter for the working man and woman, the farmer in Defiance and the autoworker in Toledo, the police officer in Port Clinton, and the business owner in Fremont. We have so much good we can accomplish when we come together. For the future of our great nation, I will work with anyone and everyone to put Northwest Ohio first.” — Marcy Kaptur

Majewski had an unconventional route to the Republican nomination as any one, first gaining local and national attention, even a public nod by President Donald Trump, when he painted a giant re-election message on his lawn.

He then bested GOP veterans Craig Riedel and Theresa Gavarone in the May primary.

Majewski, 42, was born in Toledo and graduated from Woodward High School in 1998. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1999 until 2003. He would go on to work at the Davis-Besse nuclear plant as a project manager.

Rep. Kaptur was first elected to Congress in 1982 and was vying for a 21st term. Already the longest-serving woman in U.S. House history, the win makes her the longest-serving woman in the history of Congress, bumping Barbara Mikulski of Maryland, who served in the House for a decade before serving another 30 years in the Senate for Maryland.

I see Marcy Kaptured her position in congress and hopefully she is a JFK era moderate Democrat the way she is speaking.

jeff,
She talks the talk at times like this,
but she has a 39 year voting record in Congress,
that caused the Ohio state assembly to pick her Ohio-9th
as a redistricting target, to turn it red, and then to get rid of her.

All looked good,
that is,
until J.R. squeaked through the GOP primary (with 36%).

Add another phony pony title….
Phony Ass Kicker.

Reality – Ass Kicked.
By a blue old lady in a (newly redistricted) red zone.
A zone set up specifically to take out the blue old lady.
And it backfired, primarily due to Phony J.R.

Next time,
the Ohio GOP (as well as the Pennsylvania GOP)
should have primary runoffs…
instead of sending a 36%er into November.

Well, he may gotten so “bad a**” overseas, but that doesn’t mean he was one in Afghanistan.

“some” dang it…

KoB

This was not opportunity lost this was opportunity squandered away. If ol RJ hadn’t of lied his ass off and embellished his record it would have been a non issue and he most probably would have won.

Green Thumb

All-Points Logistics is in the clown’s future….

Yet again, Green Thumb beat Hack to the punch. Hack was going to ask if All Points Logistics will be giving him a relocation fee. Will J.R. be heading all the way to Merritt Island, or be filling that open position in Reston Virginia?

Phony J.R. posted this morning on the Book of the Fake.

It’s long. Key moments…

[When Marcy launched her hit piece about my military career,
in partnership with the AP,
my campaign didn’t have the financial resources to properly respond.
While her campaign knew the story was false…….]

[Remember the source of these lies.
Remember who perpetuated them.
Rest assured that any candidate running against an incumbent like Marcy
would have had to face a false story perpetuated by the media.]

[Now I must return to my family and my life.
Picking up the pieces as a once prominent leader
in a fantastic industry will be a battle,
especially after all of these lies.]
——

So there it is.
According to J.R., everyone ELSE is lying. But not J.R.
He expects another full time high tech job coming his way.
Good luck with that.

So, the takeaway from this is that if you are a veteran with political aspirations, and you state/imply that you were a high speed low drag double secret combat naked warrior, and when questioned, you say that the records are sealed, it just might be better to never disclose this “classified information”.

As others have already posted, if he just said that he enlisted, and served where the Air Force needed his skills, that would get him some respect and votes. But he had to go all in, which not only questioned his duty in Afghanistan but brought to light his issues in the Air Force and bad reenlistment code. From that point, his campaign was the Hindenburg crashing into the Titanic.

And the lesson for the Republican Party is to vet your veterans. How many times are they going to allow themselves to be bitten in the ass?
