Yep Houston seems to be busy alright. I am wondering if this is a continuation of the gift of refugees from Katrina that migrated there from Louisiana.
Shorely has a lot to do with that crowd, Ot. Every town that took ’em in, has seen a major increase in shitbaggery.
Lubs the smell of a trifecta DRTs FIRST (ht2 Hack Stone) thing of a morning. Wilted Willie grins.
BZ to the young man for defending home and hearth by taking out the trash.
Hey, nutjob, just cause it’s a “large” knife doesn’t mean you should take it to a gun fight.
That L(ittle)C(ute)P(istol) is just darling…isn’t it?
Ol’ Ben is weeping over the way we are losing our Republic.
Sadly, a lot of it is home-grown, OT. But it is being exacerbated by the Soros-supported judges in Harris County.
I’m sure some of the folks involved are Katrina refugees, but I’ve known a few good folks from that cadre, as well.
You probably know a little about Vidor, just because you know the area pretty well. I know it pretty well, too. Suffice to say that some good people did very good things during Katrina and Rita.
I was in both of those hurricanes, located in Carencro/Lafayette, another area that has similarities with Vidor.
The uptick for Vidor is that Clarence Gatemouth Brown finally got a decent tombstone and tribute to his musical heritage. He died there during Katrina, a good ol’ bluesman.
If you really want to see the fallout of Katrina, check out Baton Rouge. I don’t think that they will ever overcome it.

“Today we remember the 2,996 people who were killed on 9/11 and all those who lost their lives while serving our country in the forever wars that followed,” both tweets from the Congressional Progressive Caucus chair said. Each one included an image of the twin towers with the phrase “Never Forget.”
“There were 2,977 victims who were killed in the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. The 2,996 number Jayapal tweeted adds the 19 terrorists who died. It is unclear where Jayapal got her count from or why she uses the 2,996 number.”

“Latest survey of gun owners finds interesting facts”
https://bearingarms.com/tomknighton/2022/09/09/gun-owners-facts-n62221
“To hear some tell it, gun owners are nothing but a bunch of old white dudes who care nothing about anyone who isn’t old, white, or male. As an old white dude and a gun owner, I kind of resent that characterization.”
“However, I’ll admit that I fit the model of “gun guy” these folks have built up in their heads. I can’t help it, it’s just who I am.
“A recent survey, however, finds that this characterization isn’t remotely fair to gun owners in general, though.”

And the Democrats are trying to identify the gun owners for future targeting:

Past time to start using cash, IMHO.
democrats are divided into two classes
1- First class anti 2A
2- second class are gun owners and NRA members coming in at almost half of 5 million members.
And all it does is flag purchased at what is nominally a gun store…or a gun store that dells fishing gear and boats…or anything else. Blow $15 grand on a boat at Bass Pro? Spend thousands on a gun safe? It’s all gun sales.
And yet, gun sales continue to climb. My son works for one of the big box outdoor stores, in the firearms department. Sales continue to go higher with each passing year.
Pay cash. Bring a bag, if you need.

June 1986, Hack Stone checks into ELMACO 2nd Maintenance Battalion. He gets assigned a room with a Telephone Repairman. First morning in the unit, Hack is getting ready for the 0 Dark Thirty PT. Telephone Repairman Roommate is still in the rack. Hack attempts to wake him up. “I’m on light duty, I don’t have to PT.” Okay. End of the day, Hack returns to the room, and he is putting on a softball uniform. Hack asks him what the hell is up. “I’m on the softball team at Tony’s Brown Bagger.”
And that is why Hack Stone hates ELMACO Commandos.
