HOUSTON — Four people are dead including a suspect after a man set fire to a complex early Sunday morning. The shooting happened around 1 a.m. on Dunlap Street near the intersection of Bissonnet and Hillcroft in southwest Houston.
Police said the suspect set fire to several units at the complex in an effort to lure residents outside. That’s when the suspect started opening fire. It’s a nightmare that neighbors like Robin Aaron are trying to escape.
“This guy set the house on fire in the back, went behind his car and started shooting people as they were coming out the door,” Aaron said.
Firefighters arrived at the scene first and began fighting the fire when the suspect started shooting. Police said they don’t know if the suspect was firing at HFD, but that firefighters had to take cover.
A Houston police officer arrived and spotted the suspect in the parking lot wearing all black and armed with a shotgun when the officer shot and killed the suspect, leaving behind horrific images for residents.

Two from our own Gun Bunny, thanks.
“And, I know the sense of helplessness that people feel. I know the urge to arm yourself because that’s what I did. I was trained in firearms. I’d walk to the hospital when my husband was sick. I carried a concealed weapon. I made the determination that if somebody was going to try to take me out, I was going to take them with me.” ~ Dianne Feinstein

DiFi, a regrettable life. If only her suffering had been truncated in her time of distress.
Houston ain’t the only place off the vacation short list. Staycation and hanging out at the TAH Tavern is the way to go.
Damn shame we had to lose 4 innocents to get a trifecta of DRTs. Nutjobs are everywhere.
DiFi’s Chinese Driver couldn’t get her to the hospital to visit her sick husband? He musta have pressing business at the Embassy.
I remember the lost opportunity to pick up a matched pair of repro Walkers in ’88 cause “wifey” wanted a new outfit. Dude only wanted $300 for the pair. When I jumped over the dog fence in ’94 and beat feet, the outfit was still hanging in the closet with the price tag on it. Never was worn.
Speaking of Colonel Colt, there was an Orphaned Commander at the Trading Post this Saturday Past. It is no longer homeless. A personal Feel Good Story.
“I support single 1911s”

“Can’t understand why you pick on Houston,as long as you avoid the bad areas it’s a great place!” said the bread truck tail gunner.
Bissonnet and Hillcroft area: know it very well.
At one time, a fairly nice neighborhood, now heavily lower-income Hispanic and black population due to the many apartment complexes in the area.
I’m gonna guess some mental and/or substance issues, though, for the deceased perp. Lots of nice folks in that area as I recall. But with the (D)emon-rats in control Harris County’s becoming a 3rd (4th?) world outhouse.
Oh, yeah.
A Walker Colt AKA a Texas Pocket Pistol >grin<
Houston = Boston, pretty much. All big Blue State-type cities aspire to be over-regulated bureaucratic nightmares like Europe (only w/o the beer).
Tallywhagger did not post that spam.
Sorry Tally, this asshole has hijacked your board name. I’m dealing with it as best I can.

I have a Walker Colt. Very few firearms will make you feel more Badass, than that one!
Favorite movie scene: Robert Duvall as Augustus McRay smacking the bartender across the face with the barrel of his Walker Colt!
