HOUSTON — A wild two-day kidnapping of two women ended with officers shooting and killing their kidnaper Tuesday afternoon near the Splendora area, according to the Houston Police Department.

Police were still investigating the scene as of Wednesday morning with evidence markers spread out in the gas station parking lot.

Meanwhile, authorities said both women were thankfully unharmed in the traumatizing incident.

What happened?

Police said the kidnapping incident began Monday when the suspect held his ex-girlfriend at gunpoint. He managed to get away after that.

On Tuesday, he then reportedly went to his ex-girlfriend’s job on Benmar Drive near City View Place and kidnapped her coworker, according to HPD.

Texas robbery victim shoots and kills suspect who pulled gun on him
The robbery victim shot one suspect in the neck in San Antonio, Texas

By Paul Best | Fox News
A robbery suspect was shot and killed in the early hours of Friday morning at an apartment complex in San Antonio after pulling a gun on the would-be victim, according to local media reports.

A man was returning to his apartment around 3:30 a.m. when three males jumped out a car in the parking lot and tried to rob him, Fox affiliate KABB reports.

The victim refused to hand anything over and pulled out his own gun, then shot one of the suspects in the neck, according to the local news outlet.

Another example of poor victim selection skills, pity. I presume the accomplices are in the wind.

I guess the first person listed in Houston didn’t realize she just wasn’t into him anymore. Now in his dirt nap he has taken the hint.

KoB

Yep, she’s not into him, but the LEOs boolits are. Two (2) DRTs and two (2) in the wind. Not a bad score FIRST thing of a morning. Splendid isn’t it, Dora?

Trying to wrap my head around the folding stock ideas. Doesn’t appear that you can operate the FM-15 with the stock folded. Shorter for transport purposes? Because they can? CC wearing a sports coat V a trench coat?

Tyrants are going to find it very dangerous to take my freedom. It will not be peaceable..

Graybeard

Agree. But you spelled “tacti-fool” wrong.

Roh-Dog

The recoil spring is above the receiver, no need to have the stock unfolded to operate the boomstick with a left hand folder.

I see some here are anti-this-contraption, which is an opinion, but some of us enjoy innovation and exchanging fiat freely for purpose built tools.

I’m excited to try one these in the 13″ length for a pretty unique set up with can and reddit.

Can’t operate with the stock folded? How do you read that? Article clearly says the trigger is accessible with stock folded.

KoB

Couldn’t tell. From the picture, showing a right side fold, it seems as if the trigger IS accessible, but the safety switch is not. And the eject port/dust cover seems to be covered up by the stock. Now, as Roh-Dog pointed out, with the left fold, all is accessible. Hence my confussion. Is there room between the stock and the frame to get at the safety and for the brass to eject? Not against this weapon, per se, just never really used a folding stock that much. It is made out of mostly metal so there is that.

The dude needs to stop binge watching those 1980’s romantic comedies.

THIS AIN’T HELL…,nor a feelzgoodstory, but I read it with the intentionally walked around/over/thru logics and bendings of words to tell the untruths. Now you get the ‘pleasure’:

Three children in Georgia have been diagnosed with monkeypox, including one child who lives in metro Atlanta, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health….While nearly all cases to date have been among men who have sex with men*, according to the CDC, health authorities emphasize anyone can catch monkeypox. The health officials also say the virus could begin to spread more broadly. –AJC (here)

*that ‘nearly’ is 90+%, fucking lies by omission. In statistics, or a rational mind, one would call that significant.

Fucking urinealists, editors, and ‘news’paper operators are looking to get thrown out of windows, IMHO.

Greater Houston Area – Harris County is getting pretty bad. I take a full load-out for my EDC if I have to go that direction.

Just this week one (D)emon-rat ‘judge’ there gave another a sweetheart deal for a crime committed while a sitting judge.

It used to be a fairly nice place to live – if you don’t mind a bunch of people all around you.

Once had a thing for my ex girlfriends co worker.
But I didn’t have to kidnap her.

Hack Stone

So, you were able to do the switch?

One important line was left out of the San Antonio story. Something that took me a while to get used to after I moved here but I always appreciated was that the local news always included ‘No charges were filed against the victim’. A little positive reinforcement goes a long way.
