DC Mayor Muriel Bowser has repeated her request for National Guard troops to assist with the overwhelming influx of illegal migrants arriving from Texas and Arizona. “We need help from our federal partners as we seek to stabilize and manage our operating environment in this critical moment,” Bowser said in a tweet. She has decried the buses, claiming D.C. is at a “tipping point” as a result of Texas Governor Abbott’s policy.
According to reports, a stunning 6,500 migrants have arrived in Washington from Texas on more than 160 buses. Since April.

Pentagon rejects DC request for National Guard migrant help — again

The Pentagon on Monday once again denied a request from the District of Columbia seeking National Guard assistance in dealing with thousands of migrants being bused to the city from Texas and Arizona.
According to a copy of a letter to the city reviewed by The Associated Press, the Defense Department said use of the D.C. National Guard would be inappropriate and would hurt the overall readiness of the troops, forcing some to cancel or disrupt military training.
The letter said the department also is concerned about putting uniformed military members in direct contact with migrants to provide food, sanitation or other support, saying the troops have no real experience or training for that mission.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin rejected a similar D.C. request earlier this month, and Mayor Muriel Bowser had said she would send an amended, “more specific” proposal.
Cry me a river. At the risk of public math, some 6500 illegals over 4 1/2 months is ~1450 illegals per, flooding Boweser’s Sanctimonious City. Of course this is all Abbotts fault for not absorbing the hoards of illegals crossing our open borders. If this wasn’t a major crisis to our sovereignty as a nation it would be pretty amusing- watching Dems howl when the immigrants come home to roost, mostly military age men and all with their hands out.
