Hearing to be held to unseal Mar-a-Lago raid affidavit

Despite the Department of Justice not wanting the affidavit to be made public, Donald Trump wants it to become public. As a result, a request was made to the court to have that affidavit unsealed. The Judge has ordered a hearing scheduled to occur on August 18.

The order, dated August 16, reads: “taking under advisement 4 the Motion to Unseal the search warrant materials, including attachments. The intervenors having requested a hearing, it is ORDERED that an IN PERSON Hearing will be held on 8/18/2022 at 1 PM in the West Palm Beach Division before Magistrate Judge Bruce E. Reinhart.”
“No remote or telephonic appearances will be permitted. If any movant/intervenor wants to file a reply to the Government’s response, they may do so,” the order continues.
Former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence was raided by the FBI, under a search warrant authorized by the Department of Justice, on Monday, August 8.
During that raid, dozens of boxed were seized and taken from the home. Trump called for the search warrant to be unsealed and made public, which Attorney General Merrick Garland, under order from Reinhart, did on Friday.
However, the affidavit backing up the search warrant was not made public, and the DOJ has said they do not want it released. Trump has insisted on seeing the justification for the search.

So apparently the FBI ordered Trump to turn off the security camera system during the raid. Let’s say they were trying to protect the identity of their agents. There are other ways of doing that. If everything was above board you would think that they want the cameras on, not off, to show their integrity.
Big supporter of law enforcement but we make cops wear body cameras today. The security cameras are turned off and his lawyers are not allowed to watch the search. Am I supposed to believe that the integrity of the FBI can’t be questioned in spite of its history but my local PD can’t be trusted? If you want the public to trust you don’t make it look like you’re up to no good.
Odd, one of Trump’s lawyers said a coupla days back that the guys watching the raid on CCTV had a better view than she did.
He refused.
The agents didn’t want to be seen trying on Melania’s clothes.

Its obvious the FBI has a weak case. Apparently, Garland debated for several weeks before okaying the raid which tells you Trump had nothing “vital to national defense” or else why the delay?
Eric Trump tweeted they will release their security footage which I’m sure the FBI will try to stop. It’s going to be embarrassing to see an agent sniffing Melania’spanties? Plus, I’d like to know the justification for seizing his passport. Oopps, our bad, right?
Without an arrest or indictment they are supposed to go through State to seize it. What possible evidence a physical passport could provide is a mystery.
The man hasn’t been able to take a shit for the last 7 years without a member of the media talking about it and how he is destroying the country by doing whatever he is doing.
Of course they don’t want to unseal it. Would expose the political hit job for what it is.

Y’know it’s Donald Trump who wants the Warrant unsealed while the swamp critters are doing everything to prevent that. Happenstance? Coincidence?
