Man locked out of Twitter account for calling Media Matters employee a groomer

| July 22, 2022

James Lindsay found himself locked out of Twitter after calling a Media Matters employee a groomer. There are those on the left that believe that “groomer” should not be used as they argue that it is anti-LGBT. For his “infraction” James Lindsay had to delete his tweet and then wait 12 hours for full account access.

From the Daily Caller:

Commentator James Lindsay was locked out of his Twitter account Thursday for calling a Media Matters employee a groomer, according to screenshots Lindsay shared with the Daily Caller News Foundation. He had to delete his tweet and wait an additional 12 hours to regain full access to his account.

The term groomer describes adults who form inappropriate friendships with children in order to prime them for sexual abuse, and it has been used by some commentators to refer to those who expose young children to sexual content through drag shows and lessons on gender identity and sexuality.

Lindsay told the DCNF he uses the term to refer to both sexually predatory grooming and ideological grooming into what he called “queer Marxist ideology.”

“I call people who engage in either of these grooming behaviors ‘groomers’ because it’s wrong to do and because that’s what they’re doing: grooming,” he said.

The Daily Caller has the rest of the article here.

Good job Twatter. That’s something a groomer would do.

‘Bullying’ adults is now a thing?

Maybe if they didn’t hang around kids all day they’d be grownups?

That’s all I gotta say about that.

Dog groomers are getting the worst of this.

Yep. Now-a-days they have to clarify when asked what kind of work they do and say “I’m a groomer” that it doesn’t mean they work for Disney…or a grade school.

Twitter be butthurt.

I heard Reddit banned the word “groomer” from their forums, so in response people started using the word “predditors.”
