Austin L. Miller, Ocala Star-Banner
A Good Samaritan and a 74-year-old woman thwarted an attempted carjacking on Tuesday at the Southwest 60th Avenue/State Road 200 traffic signal, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

The defendant, Normad Eliud Rosario-Otero, 51, was arrested on charges of attempted robbery, carjacking without a firearm or weapon and three counts of attempted burglary. Bail was set at $101,500.

The attempted carjacking

Once on Southwest 60th Avenue, Rosario-Otero entered a Ford SporTrac that was stopped at the traffic light at SR 200. The 74-year-old driver was waiting to turn west onto SR 200, according to the report.

Mr. Rosario-Otero is lucky to remain unperforated. Thanks to our own Gun Bunny for the link and today’s gun pR0n.

Bodega worker in Rikers on murder charge after stabbing attacker in self-defense

By Reuven Fenton, Joe Marino and Jorge Fitz-Gibbon
A hard-working Manhattan bodega clerk who was forced to grab a knife to fend off a violent ex-con, now finds himself sitting behind bars at the notorious Rikers Island jail charged with murder and unable to post $250,000 bail.

The sky-high bail for Jose Alba — who has no known criminal history — was just half of what controversial Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office demanded, despite surveillance video showing the clerk being assaulted by his alleged victim in the bodega.

Alba, 51, was charged with the fatal stabbing of Austin Simon, 35, who can be seen storming behind the counter at the Hamilton Heights Grocery on Broadway and West 139th Street to attack the store worker Friday night.

“It was either him or the guy at the moment,” Alba’s daughter Yulissa told The Post Wednesday, saying it was a case of self-defense.

Man, you was shorely ahead of it all when this FRIDAY FGS popped up, very briefly yesterday. Spotted it, blinked, shook my head, clicked and “poof!” it was a “page not found” note. Discreation being the better part of valor, and not wanting to fly into a danger zone, I put any thoughts of poking our Beloved AW1Ed on ice, man. I really don’t want him to lose that lovin’ feelin’ for his favorite dirt digging doggie. Didn’t even have to goose him to post the pic of the “cute” little Baby Kimber. I WANT ONE! Would make a nice add on to my FNIB Kimber Model 1911 Custom LW. Pocket knife is cool too.

FIGHT BACK, bring any and every weapon to bear. Belt them if you have too. Unless, of course, you’re in NYC. Defending yourself there will get you free room & board in Rikers.

’bout tired of them libs trying to use my money to pay a debt that isn’t mine.

The little Kimber would so nicely under my left arm or right hip. With the camo scheme, snakes might not even see us coming.

And it’s folks like this upstanding citizen Normad Eliud Rosario-Otero why my holster is angled so I can draw my EDC while still strapped in.

The Bodega clerk will go free if he is tried but I doubt he will go to trial with the mayor and public sticking up for him. The person who should be tried is that ducks ass shitbird whom no one should bragg about how he is doing.

What happened to the pistol? Looks like someone stuck a full sized 1911 in the hot water wash along with the woolens, and they all shrunk.

Load it with them Blue or Yeller Bullets and it will swell up to full size. Might take up to an hour and if the swelling last for more than 4 hours, call your gunsmith.
