Nobody cares about January 6, 2021

| June 23, 2022

A politico reporter, Betsy Woodruff Swan, said that a couple of Democrat lawmakers told her that the electorate does not care about what happened on January 6. She continues on about how this is an important issue but recognizes that people are far more concerned about immediate issues in their lives.

From Fox News:

“Which brings me to the all-important question, Betsy: Does the Jan. 6 hearing break through at all? Is this more proof that it does not?” Todd asked.

‘I don’t think it does,” Swan responded. “I’ve talked to two separate Democratic members of Congress over the last couple of weeks about Jan. 6, obviously can’t say who, and both of them have said offhandedly, nobody gives a bleep about January 6th when they’re talking about their districts and the way that elections play out.”

“The reality is – obviously, it’s a very important issue. Obviously – like I’ve been covering this nonstop for the last year. It’s important, it’s a key part of understanding American history and the democratic trajectory that this country is on. It is also true at the same time and not at all contradictory that it’s not a top-tier voting issue for people who are figuring out who they’re going to support during the midterms,” Swan told Todd. “Top-tier issues are material concerns. How are people paying their mortgages? How much does it cost to get milk and bread? How much does it cost to get gas?”

Swan added, “Do these hearings result in different electoral outcomes for Democrats? I have yet to see any actual evidence that they do.”

Much of the media has hyped the ongoing House Select Jan. 6 Committee hearings, which have been reviewing the events that led up to the riot on Capitol Hill.

Liberals have praised the hearings for revealing what they say led to an attempt at overthrowing the 2020 election while conservatives call them a partisan exercise meant to damage former President Trump ahead of a potential run in 2024.

Fox News has more on the article here.

The ONE THING that I remember about January 6th is that gasoline was about 2.00 a gallon, fuck Joe Biden and Company!

After seeing those bratty TEENAGERS screaming about abortion rights (where are their parents?) and bratty TEENAGERS breaking into and partying at a home in Florida (where are their parents?), it was SO refreshing to see a FAMILY sing this…and yes, their dog/dogs were a hit!!

Cute!

Excellent reference, ninja!

Just a matter of time until the Woke Mob doxes the family for not blindly following the Biden-Harris Regime, like they did with Mini AOC.

I don’t give a rat’s ass about 06JAN2021 or their hearings.

The “hearings” prove three (3) things. Easy as ABC:

(A) The attempted control over We, The People, by despotic tyrants is increasing.

(B) We have been “voted” into Socialism.

(C) We gonna have to shoot our way out of it.

Fed up with the destruction of our Beloved Republic yet?

There’s a saying that “6 months is an eternity in politics.”

Quick, without googling, what was the big political issue 6 months ago? Yeah, I don’t remember either.

1/6 was 18 months (or roughly 3 eternities) ago. If Americans are still paying $5.00+ for gasoline and seeing food and other prices soaring stratospherically, the last thing they’re going to think about is January 6th, 2021.

President Elect Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH Neande

Oh, I still “care” about 1/6, but only concerning how the political prisoners (held in solitary w/out bail. have they even been charged?) will eventually be released and how they will attempt to put their lives back together.
Bastille Day, American Style?

The rights of Americans are being trampled by the tyrants in control. Someone needs hung from the lamposts.

That’s assuming that anyone would be desperate enough to get close enough to impregnate her the first, last, and only time in her life.

Perhaps in prison or a kennel?

The Kennedy Center of Performance ARTS got…millions? billions? in PPP/Build Back Buttf*cklier dough.

I wonder if they’ve got any trips to Home Depot on the company credit card.

Also, many Hollyweird companies got PPP loans forgiven, even if it was one person shop with no business activity for 2020. (Hunter’s hooker friends however, where quite busy). Set building and being an extra in DC sounds like a sweet gig in retrospect.

What the naive media don’t understand is that people are more concerned right now about paying the bills and putting food on the table, and rightly so.

The dopey newsies are simply shooting themselves in the foot over a non-event, which nobody really gives a crap about, and trying to revive interest in it is childish. They should be asking people about logistics at home: food, bill payments, transportation costs – that sort of thing. Bitem is complete denial that The Recession is underway because Yellen says it is not happening. If the cost of getting to work, either by public transportation or POV, is too high, that is what matters to people whose wages are not keeping up with rising prices. Not going to go into commodities or other things here; it’s too much of a mess, but that is a large part of it.

Do you all know what happens when inflation gets too inflated? Yeah – it’s called a “crash”, and I’m counting the days until it happens.

AMEN!!!

A year ago, I bet a friend of mine who voted for both the Hildabeast and Gropey that we would have significant, lasting inflation within the next year. A couple of months ago, he sent me the $100 of the bet. I am now trying to get him to bet me another $100 that we won’t have a recession in the next twelve months. He is reluctant to take the bet.

LC

Believe it or not, people can care about more than one thing at a time. I care deeply that so many of us, including many family and friends, are struggling to put food on the table and pay bills. I also care deeply that President Trump, John Eastman and a bunch of others decided that elections simply don’t matter, and that the VP can simply disregard votes from states they deem suspicious and thereby determine who the next President will be.

I’m quite sure that if Kamala Harris were to decide, after the 2024 elections, to simply disregard real electors from certain states after Biden loses the election, you’d feel that’s pretty important too. Even if we’re in a full-blown recession then.

I personally don’t give a damn about the media, but I absolutely care about the evidence being presented, and so should every American who puts their principles and their country before their party.

Deckie

“Believe it or not.”

Okay, I’ll continue to not believe it, Captain Italics.

LC

You’re… continuing to not believe that people can care about more than one thing at a time?

That’s a bold take, Deckie. Bravo.

Deckie

No, you pompous shitstain — I will continue to believe that no one really gives a fuck about 1/6/21 except looney proggy lefties like yourself.

I stopped reading your nonsense after that first line.

SFC D

I really wanted to care about the January 6 hearings. But I’m unable to take anything involving Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff seriously. I want the truth, good bad or indifferent. This isn’t how you get the truth.

LC

Nancy Pelosi isn’t involved, thankfully, and while I agree that Adam Schiff is fairly loathsome, the majority of the hearings involve witnesses, most of whom are Republicans.

For example, you’ve got Rusty Bowers from Arizona detailing how he got a call from the White House where Giuliani tried to pressure him to discredit their election totals via claims of fraud that he never provided proof of:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aziAhh4NHkU

That’s a lifelong republic saying he would not break his oath to the constitution. I would think this community, full of people who took an oath and served honorably, could respect that, at least.

Then there’s the whole fake electors thing, the variety of officials asking for pardons -for what, if they did nothing wrong?- the legal perspective from respected Republican lawyers, etc.

LC

In short, with no real evidence of fraud, people tried to circumvent the election to stay in power, and knew it wasn’t legal. That’s crazy, and worth your time.

I hope you can give it a shot, even if you need to drink every time Schiff speaks.

rgr769

No, you just keep drinking the Shiff-hole’s lies, just like the Trump Russia, Russia D-rat hoax.

MarineDad61

LC,
Nothing you can say will win over most here.
1 hour of hearings today was plenty,
the attempt to replace Rosen with Clark at DOJ,
and that almost all AAGs would resign on the spot.

The lefty media overspins,
and the righty media downplays and minimizes.

And so you see the comments here,
some from folks who only give a shit about the Constitution on their own issues, and simply don’t care about the balance of the 3 branches of government
(How many can’t name all 3 without the Fu of Google?),
when things don’t go their way.

I voted for Trump. Twice. Glad I did.
But his poor loser behaviors soured me in December 2020,
and his subversion attempts in January 2021,
like him or not, are clearly criminal.

Too bad for those who don’t read, don’t watch,
and still stick up for the guy.

BTW,
Clark’s home just got searched, over 1 year too late.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2022/06/23/jeffrey-clark-house-search/

MarineDad61

BTW 2,
Still waiting on the guilty plea and prison sentence
for Leo Brent Bozell IV, son of “media transparency” fundraiser and talk face Brent Bozell (III).

Leo smashed a Capitol door glass,
climbed through a smashed out window,
and rummaged through the Senate.

But Leo’s not a “have not”, he’s a “have”,
with hefty lawyers from DC/VA paid by the old man,
unlike the other local yokel knuckleheads,
some who got their sentences already,
and others
(like cop macer FacePaintBlowhard Samuel Lazar)
who still sit in jail, awaiting trial or guilty plea,
only because THEIR OWN LAWYERS keep stretching it out.

BTW 3,
Lazar’s family and friends
are no longer publicly claiming political prisoner.
They pumped him up, and sent him in,
and now feel the guilt (in 2022)… for acting like idiots.

LC

I’m aware most here won’t be swayed, but some, like SFC D, are very reasonable sorts. I’ll take the small win of ensuring this isn’t a complete echo chamber when it comes to this stuff, and hope some of it resonates.

MarineDad61

LC,
Nothing like the new red minuses,
which, more often than not, is a good thing.
🙂

True fact, the DOJ just quietly dropped (dismissed) over 70 cases against the Antifastanis and other rioters in the summer of 2020, including those who assaulted federal LEOs and attempted to burn down or deface federal property, including those “mostly peaceful” riots in the District of Criminals. But hey, those are the “disorganized” SA of the D-rat party. Too bad we don’t have Hugo Boss to design some sexy uniforms for them.

They got the color going already.

Hmm… seem to recall saying that exact thing a few weeks ago on this very site. Remember you heard it here first.

MustangCryppie

Nah. This has nothing to do with us caring about “more important issues”. We just recognize bullshit when we see it.

SgtBob

“this is a very important issue” because “I have been covering this non stop for a year.”

PJS

The thing with 1/6 is I think it was bad and those who acted out should be held accountable but at the same time if you’re mad at the government I’d rather you take it to the government then riot and destroy peoples personal property and businesses.

rgr769

Except all the destruction of people’s personal property didn’t happen on 1/6 in D.C. It happened in the riots all over the country in 2020, in the BLM and Antifa riots.
