Democrats come out against ‘hardening schools’ and mandated reporting of threats and assault to school staff

This is just bizarre. After last week’s horrible murder spree at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, the left has been pushing gun control hard. pResident Biden did so on Memorial Day in a tasteless display of grandstanding and a complete lack of knowledge of history;

President Joe Biden pushed for more gun control on Monday, even though it was Memorial Day, a national patriotic holiday.

“The Constitution, the Second Amendment was never absolute,” Biden said to reporters.

The president spoke to reporters about gun control as he returned to Washington, DC, from Delaware for Memorial Day ceremonies.

Biden falsely claimed again that Americans were unable to purchase a cannon when the Second Amendment was passed, despite being repeatedly fact-checked as false by even the Washington Post and Politifact.

“You couldn’t buy a cannon when the Second Amendment was passed and you couldn’t go out and purchase a lot of weapons,” he said.

Biden recalled a briefing he had when he was a senator on bullet calibers and the damage they caused to the human body.

“The 22 caliber bullet will lodge in the lungs and we can get it out,” Biden said. “A 9 mm bullet blows the lung out of the body.”

“The idea of a high caliber weapon, there is no rationale for it in terms of self-protection, hunting,” he said.

Biden also referred to a quote from Thomas Jefferson who said “the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants,” tying it in with his argument about the Second Amendment.

“There was a while there, where people were saying, you know, the tree of liberty is watered with the blood of patriots, and what we have to do is to be able take on the government when they are wrong,” Biden said.

Biden argued in order for citizens to hold the government accountable with equal levels of force, Americans would have to own a fighter jet or a tank.

“To do that you need an F-15, you need an Abrams tank,” he said, suggesting it was an outrageous idea.

Last time he said that you’d need an F-15 to stand up to the US government, he made a veiled threat of using nukes on our own citizens. Antifa, BLM, and the rioters who breached the capitol last year all recently proved that you do not need such weapons to breach or, in the case of BLM, destroy government buildings.

With the background that we need more “common sense” gun regulations, none of which in the past have ever done anything at all to curb violent crime from firearms, we find that Democrats’ talking points don’t actually include making schools safer through defensive measures.

The White House Press Secretary (the latest serial liar and conspiracy theorist to hold the position) set the President’s position clearly on the matter;

President Joe Biden does not support “hardening schools” against potential school shooters following the massacre at a Texas elementary school last week, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Tuesday.

“I know there’s been conversation about hardening schools, that is not something he believes in,” Jean-Pierre told reporters at a White House press conference. “He believes that we should be able to give teachers the resources to be able to do their job.”

Jean-Pierre’s comments came as Biden has promised to meet with congressional leaders about possible bipartisan legislation to address gun violence after an 18-year-old gunman killed 19 students and two adults in the shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.

Led by Democrat Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut, a bipartisan group of 10 senators is hoping to negotiate a gun proposal during the Senate’s upcoming recess — with ideas including expanded background checks or red flag laws that keep guns out of the hands of potentially dangerous people.

Republican lawmakers have been supportive of “hardening” schools by providing money for more security resources, law enforcement officers or even arming teachers.

Murphy told The Associated Press on Thursday that he was “open” to increasing school security, however, Democrats have been steadfast against providing weapons to teachers. They’ve also argued that heightened security alone does not go far enough to protect students.

The President said Monday he hadn’t yet spoken with Republican leaders about areas of potential compromise — despite the fact that a week had passed since the tragedy.

More on that moron at the NY Post. Similarly, just two days after the tragic wholesale slaughter of little kids in Uvalde, the California State Senate passed a bill that would no longer make reports of threats or actual assaults to school staff something that must be reported to law enforcement. It would now be optional. As would reports to LE about students who bring BB guns, airsoft guns, or bladed weapons to school. This from the state that required all children in the state to wear masks to school for well over a year. Even once it was painfully obvious that children were not affected by COVID, that the masks did little if anything to help prevent infection, and that they were harmful to the development of children (speech therapists have reported seeing 300+% increases in the need for their services).

Read the text of the bill here. California continues to make crime legal, then gets all astonished when there’s lots of crime.

I won’t say all Democrats don’t actually care about protecting our kids, because I do believe that many rank-and-file Democrats are good people (who I just happen to disagree with). It is readily apparent though that the top Democrats in this country do not care. They are, just as Robert Francis O’Rouke did at Governor Abbott’s press conference last week, using this tragedy to further divide the country and to push gun control. There’s nothing but lip service being given to actually trying to prevent further tragedy, because as Obama’s former chief of staff and former Mayor of Chicago Rahm Emanuel said it best, “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste.”

Without crises, they couldn’t shove their unpopular, anti-freedom policies down everyone’s throats.

Technically I think it was Swalwell who threatened to nuke Americans, but Joe says so much silly shit it’s hard to keep up. As to the Democrats rejecting what would appear to be intelligent REAL common sense proposals… they were proposed by Republicans.

E.g., buy a shotgun instead of an AR-15:

According to Brandon, if you hear a prowler or someone is breaking into your house a 2:00 am, you take that double barrel out on the porch and fire off your two shots. Then while you are nervously fumbling to reload in the dark, your home invader plugs you or knifes you to death. But don’t worry; the police will be there in fifteen
minutes to draw that chalk outline around your body.

The dumbassery of Joe’s statements know no bounds.

“I know there’s been conversation about hardening schools, that is not something he believes in,” Jean-Pierre told reporters at a White House press conference.

This means it’s okay to keep gun-free zones and let kids get killed because guns…

“He believes that we should be able to give teachers the resources to be able to do their job.”

This means the tools they call teachers are to be given resources to indoctrinate children into CRT and every sexual perversion known to man.

Folks, it’s going to hell in a handcart and I can’t wait for November and 2024. I believe the majority of America from both sides, excluding the fringe ultra-leftists have had enough of sound good solutions to feel-good issues. It’s time to make America America again.

As posted on TAH before (the added mind-warping perversion above is so Timmy can be a good left/libtard if he survives– Leftist win-win!):

How about a moratorium on new laws and enforcement of existing.laws

Lets start with someone who falsifys a ATF FM 4473 and attempts to obtain a gun. Mandatory prosecution.

Follow that with someone who falsifies an ATF Fm 4473 and does obtain a gun using the falsified document. Seize any and all guns in the individuals possession and immediate prosecution.

The only problem with the latter is Hunter Biden would have to be arrested.

I’ve posted this before. My wife worked in a Big Box Store, selling sporting goods, including firearms, for 8 years. Routinely, she would deny a sale of a firearm to someone for numerous reasons, prohibited person(felon, domestic abuser, etc), or it was an obvious straw purchase(boyfriend, husband sitting or standing around the counter while the wife/girlfriend) bought the gun he was prohibited from buying, or, the corporation allowed those who sold firearms if they just didn’t feel the purchaser was honest. She told me she averaged 3 or 4 of those denied sales or an attempted straw purchase a month.
That’s a lot of opportunities for the BATFE to prosecute those people. She was never subpoenaed once for those violations of federal law.

Home Schooling is the solution. To a lot of things.

See my comment on “Dancers implore…” below re the ability of private citizens to buy cannons and other arms back in the Revolutionary through Civil War days. Actually, there were virtually no limits on types and firearms ownership before 1934. Thompson submachine guns could be purchased at your local hardware store.

Democrats can’t do basic research, so when they’re confronted with the hard facts and they contradict their own silly ass beliefs they revise them to suit the narrative.

Wikipedia got guys like Lars through college.

SFC D

Lars and his friends never truly get through college. It becomes a lifetime sanctuary.

Which is a step down from Marvel Classic Comics, believe me.

WIkipedia is the ONLY source for my empiric data…. and I describe myself as a “professional student”

True dat. I have a lot of reenacting buddies from various time periods that have that stuff.

One of the reasons the 1934 firearms act was enacted was because of the St. Valentines Massacre.

rgr769

Yup. People got tired of reading about those mowed down with Tommy-guns in Chicago and other gangster ridden cities.

I could make one phone call right now and have a full battalion of muzzle loading cannon, assembled and ready for action in less than 2 hours. Can make another phone call and have an assortment of tanks in about them same amount of time (compatriot has a warehouse of them, fully functioning, that he rents to Hollywierd for movie making). Another compatriot is fairly high up on the food chain with the Chairforce. He says that most of the pilots will NOT drop ordnance on Americans…but will take out any pilots that try to.

It is control of We, The People that these depots want. The gunz are the only thing stopping them from full blown 1984. All part of the master plan to “…fundamentally change the face of America”. And the bastards don’t mind one bit standing in the blood and on the bodies of innocent children. After all, it’s not their children being sacrificed on the alter of despotism to further their agenda.

Twist

I’ll believe the Democrats are serious about stopping gun violence just as soon as they demand that the Biden DOJ prosecute his crack head son for committing a felony by lying on the 4473 to buy the handgun that his wife threw in a dumpster

CDR D

Hey, Brandon! About those F-15s and Nukes…
