As reported by the Wall Street Journal, leaders of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have declined calls with Joe’s Handlers. PINO Joe hoped to discuss increasing their oil output to offset the historical surge of petroleum prices linked to irrational domestic fuel production policies, exacerbated by the Russian war on Ukraine.
With gas prices at all-time highs, Joe’s Handlers attempted to contact Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the U.A.E.’s Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan, but were denied. “There was some expectation of a phone call, but it didn’t happen,” a U.S. official told the Journal regarding a call between Biden and Salman. “It was part of turning on the spigot [of Saudi oil].”
Saudi officials say the kingdom’s relationship with the U.S. has deteriorated since this administration took over. Issues include PINO Joe’s lack of support in the Iranian backed civil war in Yemen, and concerns the Iran nuclear deal will start an arms race in the Middle East.

White House officials said that they were unsuccessful in arranging a phone call between US president Joe Biden and the leaders of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, according to a report by news agency the Wall Street Journal (WSJ). Both leaders, however, have spoken to Russian president Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky.
Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman as well as UAE’s Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan criticised the US’ stand on the Gulf region under the Biden administration. Earlier last month, Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman or MBS, as he is popularly known, told news agency Atlantic that he is unconcerned regarding what US president Biden thinks about him.
The contentious issues between the two Emirati kingdoms and the Biden administration is regarding the nuclear deal and the lowering of US support in the war against the Houthis in Yemen. Fears that the nuclear deal and reduction of US support for the war in Yemen would bring a thaw to the relations between Washington and Tehran, the Gulf states feel that the relationship with the US has deteriorated under the Biden administration, the WSJ report outlined.

Oil futures are down ~13% or so, with Brent crude down 17%. This is a bit like how if I call Cindy Crawford up and ask her for a date and she says no, and someone laughs and says I was snubbed, but then she shows up at my place in lingerie for a good night, I’m getting the last laugh.
