Police are investigating a Saturday night fatal shooting in Fontana, after a home owner says he had to defend himself during an attempted burglary. The homeowner, whose name has not been released by authorities, called the Fontana Police Department at 10:47 p.m. Saturday.
He told police multiple people were attempting to break into his house at the corner of Cypress Avenue and Baseline, that he believed at least one of them was inside, and that he believed they were armed. The home owner then armed himself with a handgun before the call with Fontana PD disconnected.
When police arrived at the scene, the home owner came out of the house and surrendered himself, saying he had shot someone inside the home.

“If someone has a gun and is trying to kill you, it would be reasonable to shoot back with your own gun.” — The Dalai Lama

First.
Love it that the Dalai Lama is a real-world kind’a guy, and not just a pie-in-the-sky religious leader.
Hope the California Citizen is not prosecuted for taking out the trash. I’m sure that the perps were gud bois, just practicing their B&E Skilz and had no intentions of taking more than $950 worth of goods…each. And WTH is with the popo there; “…defending yourself is the last resort…”?!???
Way to put the Gun Bunny on Ice,man, with all of the multiple linky thingys. Shows you haven’t lost that lovin’ feelin’…or that you can play him like a fine violin? And from the gunz pr0n article…”it would even smell like a 1911.” heh heh
Testify His Most Reverend Lama…the choir says AMEN!
Dunno about that SA Roenaan, Reb. A 1911 not in 45 ACP is like a burrito without Tapatio; no favor, no spice, no dice.
I’ve always been on the mind if one goes, one should go big: Wilson Combat Classic in .45 with a MSRP of $3,030.
Or, 5 1/2 Glocks. Value is fairly subjective, quality? Not so much.
Word! -Dog. My dig at the gunz pr0n was not only at the piece, but to the writer of the article too. May recall I’ve commented before that most of the gunz articles will usually make some kinda comparassions to the 1911, or the other works of His Most Saintly JMB (HBHN). I’ll be the FIRST (ht 2…OH…that would be YOU) to say there are some fine shooting irons out there that were not designed or built by Saint John and I will admit to being partial to his stuff. Hey, what can I say? I am a product of my environment, past history, upbringing, and personal experience. I just think it’s fitting and funny that the writers think they add credence to the product by bringing up THE Standard by which all firearms are judged by.
