State of the Union – National Guard needed
As DC prepares to hear from Joe Biden’s handlers as they work him like a ventriloquist’s dummy via the teleprompter, the very regime that allegedly earned more votes than any president in history has put the National Guard on standby. You know your policies are popular when you’ve got to surround yourself with with men and women in uniforms with rifles. Meanwhile in Ukraine, their president is surrounding himself with men and women in uniforms as he sits in dugouts with them as they battle the Russians.
Jeff LPH 3 sends in the story on our National Guard’s preparedness plans for the Capitol for tonight’s speech. It should be a good speech. Biden will have to tap dance better than Fred Astaire to spin all his myriad failures on others.

The fencing around the U.S. Capitol is back up for the president’s State of the Union address on Tuesday. Police cars with flashing lights are stationed at major intersections and highways. The National Guard is on standby.
It’s the new normal.
While there are no specific or credible threats related to President Joe Biden’s speech, law enforcement officials are taking no chances following the events of Jan. 6, 2021, when a violent mob caught the District of Columbia by surprise and successfully stormed the U.S. Capitol, briefly disrupting the certification of Biden’s 2020 presidential victory.
Since then, the U.S. Capitol Police, charged with protecting lawmakers and anyone else in and around the Capitol, has beefed up security for planned protests in the area. And this time, officials are also preparing for trucker convoys that are planning protests against pandemic restrictions beginning this week, though officials aren’t concerned about serious security issues with the possible protests.
The Pentagon has already approved the deployment of 700 unarmed National Guard troops to be used to assist with traffic control during potential demonstrations.
