Boomer’s Sunday

| January 23, 2022

It’s time once again, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes, for Boomer’s Sunday, where I cull through his weekly offering of ‘toons, and pick the best. The preponderance of toons is provided by him and AW1 Scott, with many others also contributing.
Disclaimer: These toons are meant to amuse, entertain and inform, pretty much in that order. While I cull what I can, they are not specifically fact-checked, so expect a certain amount of artistic license.

Politician Playbook:
Problem: The news on the Homefront is going to shit
Solution: Stir op trouble with foreign county to distract the sheep. Repeat for desired effecs.

I hope nobody is falling for this

The “short victorious war” (which usually ends up neither) eh?

As long as SecDef Lester Houston, or whatever that clown’s name be, is getting that ‘backdoor’ moneies from raytheon I know I’ll sleep better.

BTWs, HBD to one John Moses Browning. Touched more lives than any one man in history, maybe?

Testify Roh-Dog! Got a cake baking in Honor of His Most Saintly John Moses Browning (Howitzer Be His Name) as we speak. It will be covered with Butter Pecan I ce Cream and served alongside grilled snaursages and baked cheesy taters.

Article VI Clause 2:
This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

Not all federal laws “overrule State laws” regardless of what Jen Psaki and Judge Sonia Sotomayor* think. Only laws made “in pursuance of the Constitution” are “the supreme Law of the Land.”

Federal laws made contrary to the 10th Amendment are not the supreme Law of the Land.

*She of the statement: “100,000 children are seriously ill with COVID, many on ventilators.” That is a statement that is both totally false and even more importantly, is not contained in any of the briefs filed in the case. That second part is particularly troubling.

Exactly. She is following the misguided trail of Ruth Buzzy Ginsberg, who thought her personal opinion was law.

But, but, she is a “wise Latina.” So, we must believe whatever she says.

Boomer’s Sunday Funnies…one of the things that keeps me from going all stabby. Thanks!
