Seems some Ivory Tower mental giants are a bit vague on how viruses are transmitted.
The New Jersey university has banned a student from attending classes because he is unvaccinated against Covid. Why this is an issue among those already vaxxed is a mystery to me.
Would you be surprised if the student was attending classes, remotely?

New Jersey student has said he is barred from taking classes at Rutgers University because he has not been vaccinated — even though he is only studying virtually from home.
Logan Hollar, 22, told NJ.com that he largely ignored the school’s COVID mandate “because all my classes were remote” from his Sandyston home, some 70 miles from Rutgers’ campus in New Brunswick.
But he was locked out of his Rutgers email and related accounts when he went to pay his tuition at the end of last month — and was told that he needed to be vaccinated even though he has no plans to attend in person.

Hollar’s stepfather, Keith Williams — who has been vaccinated — told the outlet he is “dumbfounded” at Rutgers’ stance.
“I believe in science, I believe in vaccines, but I am highly confident that COVID-19 and variants do not travel through computer monitors by taking online classes,” Williams told NJ.com.
Wherever one is on the issue, I think we can agree this is blatant coercion.

Rutgers apparently misunderstood “antivirus program”.
Finally! Now I completely understand that whole “Computer Virus” thing. ‘splains why I’m such a sick puppy.

Sounds like that story from the start of this mess when someone got in trouble for not wearing a mask during a online meeting/class.
I’m pleasantly surprised that Rutgers didn’t first accept the tuition payment before locking the student out of his account and then holding onto the money for as long as they could.
That is the only mistake Rutgers made, at least in their minds.
Did cnn tell rutgers that the virus could be transmitted through the computer as well as talking over a landline dial phone where the wires could carry the ChiCom Virus from the caller to the callee or visa versa.

This is the higher-education version of kicking a kid out of grade school for a ‘weapon’ because he brought a rubber-band gun to class. Zero-tolerance nonsense where some common sense should prevail.

My body, my choice is only applicable when it fits the agenda. I’ve used that on multiple people and they don’t have a response. The whole POINT of virtual classes was to accommodate people like this. It’s like saying I can’t use the wheelchair lift because I’m a wheelchair user.
